Great little oven and wonderful burners on top, for camping or anywhere!
Why I bought it: I needed a small oven that is portable, one to a house porch, then for my Casita camper, which has only burners inside. I do a lot of weekend car/tent camping also, and use little Coleman cannisters for my Buddy heater, and thought I could use them on this oven as well. Its a great thing to be able to fry chicken outside, not stink up the house too. What else did I get: Ordered the handy carry bag, which has well places handles on each side, is black nylon, and well padded to protect the oven This is a good idea, and makes it so easy to transport. Did it work well? I really like the burners. The knobs light the stove and burners, so no matches needed. I tried cooking water for coffee in a teakettle, first, to learn how everything worked, then a batch of eggs on top, and noted how even and fine the flames are, and adjust easily, and cleans up easily too. Much easier not to burn pancakes etc, when one can adjust the flames so finely. Beats many camping stoves any day. The burner lid is a wind screen, and is very effective, and stands up with the little metal clips easily Next, lit the oven, which has a pilot light that comes on the bottom, which the glass door makes it easy to spot, once lit, adjust the temp knob. I made orange sweet rolls from the can for my camping crew, which turned out just right. It looks like smaller roasting pans or brownie pans, will fit better in this unit. This little oven should bake a smallish chicken, or two game hens, etc no problem.. There are two removable wire shelves inside, nice and sturdy. I believe with some adjustment, I can cook a duck in it. The thermometer is outside the oven on the control panel. I have not tested, but if you need exact oven temp control, just get your own for inside the oven. Although it takes several minutes longer to heat up than a indoor oven, once heated seemed to maintain the temperature well. No odors, etc. A handy grabber handle is attached is on the ovens handle, lest one's forgets, and gets burned. With this one, not a chance. If one is needing it, a simple egg timer would help. I kept an eye on it, because I had it under a large screen room to keep it out of the rain. It did not overheat my LL bean screen shelter ceiling however, and I kept it under the center peak, on the picnic table, away from the sides. Would I purchase this again: Yes! All in all, sturdy, good burners and stove, and great for many applications, like brownies, breads, smaller pizzas, cornbreads, muffins, and will greatly increase what I usually can cook while camping, especially on wet days. where fire cooking is too difficult. Happy I bought it. Keep the bubble rap around the regulator, you can re-wrap it so it doesn't bang around inside the stove while travelling.:)

Best buy for the Christmas season.
Our off grid cabin didn't have a stove or oven. The 2 burner stove top we use is great but no oven. We got this and it's filled a void for us. This time of year (Christmas) my wife loves making cookies. This oven works great. The thermometer isn't great but if you keep an eye on it, we can manage. Probably would have bought the thermostatically controlled one in hindsight. Good price, easy to use and great design. We love it! 12/2025 So, it's been a year since we got this oven. We've been using it some for reheats and frozen meals or pizza. Does the job. I couldn't get the oven to heat up recently so I took the propane line to the burner off and cleaned out some flakes of dirt and made sure the orifice was open. Put it back together and we baked a pumpkin pie, fried bacon on the stove for the baked beans, then baked the beans. Everything turned out great. When baking a pie, especially one that takes over an hour, you have to monitor it closely and turn it a few times but it's worth the effort.

A must have for frequent camping!
We setup a semi-permanent campsite on our property (Bell style tent from Stout Tents) and wanted a cooking appliance that was portable but allowed for more dining options than a typical camp stove. The Camp Chef Outdoor Camp Oven is the real deal! We use it almost every weekend and have cooked everything from grilled cheese to pasta to steaks to fresh baked cookies. The top burners heat evenly and are more than strong enough to get our cast iron skillet heated quickly. The oven is what really sets this thing apart from any other Camp stove I have ever used. It heats up quickly, holds its heat very well even in 20 degree temps. The racks are spacious. It is very easy to keep clean. After heavy use and even accidentally leaving it in freezing rain, it still looks like new. Solid construction. The other thing I have noticed is how efficient the burners are. A disposable propane tank will last an entire weekend of oven and burner use and still have something left in the tank. We recently bought the adapter hose to connect to a larger tank so we can stop using the disposable canisters. You definitely want to buy the cover. Well worth the money and makes it easy to transport. One note about the cover is that it is not waterproof as we found out. Hopefully they will make one that is soon. If you want to kick up your camp dining a notch, you will not be disappointed!

I waited to write the review until I actually tested the product. We just came home from camping and I must say - the camp oven was a huge success. I baked chicken breast the first night - shake n baked the chicken, placed on a little olive oil and covered with tin foil. I generally cook the chicken in a hot oven - so I put on high for 30 mins and it turned out perfect, juicy, tender and crispy. I let the stove cool to 400 and had pre-made some peanut butter/chocolate chip cookie dough at home - before we left and kept in the fridge. Baked those for about 9 mins - you can just smell when they are ready. DELISH! What a hit! I also boiled and then fried perogies on the top burners. Stove is great quality, burners work well. Only issue that I found was that while I am 5'5 putting the stove on the picnic table was a little high for me when using the upper burners. I had brought a standing stool for my camper - so I used that and problem solved. Camp Oven cools quickly so you can put back in storage when done eating. We also bought the cover and it's worth the money to protect and keep your stove nice. All around excellent purchase and would highly recommend! Even my husband who rolled his eyes when he saw it arrive from Amazon (surprise) - changed his mind and loved it while camping.

Got all 3 elements going on at the same time. Seem to do ok. Baked some cookies, nachos, fried some food on the burners. Gets pretty hot, the low setting really isn’t all that low from the high. A tip on the 20lb propane tank, you don’t need to buy anything fancy for it. Canadian tire has that hose for $20, it’s a woods brand. It’s just a hose that hooks up to 1lb end to 20lbs propane tank. I got some fittings from a local store to extend the end so it can stick out of my trailer. Fittings can be either brass or black pipe, both will work for propane. Good ventilation is key. Hope this helps.
