Was skeptically initially when I was told about it. But having sharpened about all my knives ( including my pocket knives), I have to say I am impressed! Even my old dull butcher knife that I have had for over 20 years is so sharp that it can slice paper. I understand (from friends), that I am to sharpen my knives after each use, will do that to keep them sharp. Will recommend the product to others who are in the market for an easy to use, no hassle and with little to no damage to the knives (unlike electrical sharper) sharper.

I've been looking for a great sharpener for a long time. I saw that the Slap Yo Daddy BBQ guy uses this one on his sushi knives. It is really good. It super sharpens my Wusthof knives in about 3 strokes. It's so much better than their sharpener. It's easy to use and to store. I didn't use the mounting plate or suction cups.

Really great sharpener that has brought our kitchen knives back to life — but ugh, it's just a piece of molded plastic with some springs and two metal rods, so it feels like it's really, really overpriced.

Buy once, cry once. How much did you pay for that knife? Buy a quality sharpener for it! This is about as easy as it gets to keep a good edge. If you knock the edge off or chip it, you'll need more horsepower that this item. However, for day-to-day maintenance of cared for knives, this is a great product.

This sharpener was highly recommended and I can see why. Anything German made is worth it.

No setup up required unless you count attaching the suction cups. Very, very easy to use with no effort. My dull knives were razor sharp just after a few minutes with this sharpener. It is expensive but if you have the money it's well worth it. Not to mention it has a lifetime warranty.

Nichts ist in der Küche (und auch anderen Situationen) nerviger als stumpfe Messer. Mit diesem professionellen und praktischen Tool werden Messer für der täglichen Gebrauch wieder mühelos scharf – wirklich scharf! Ein sorgfältiges Abziehen von Zeit zu Zeit mit einem Stein freut gute, teure Messer natürlich trotzdem.
