I purchased this so my baby chicks could have “recess time” in the yard. My chicks are currently 3 weeks old so they are learning how to jump and flap their wings so I needed a “play pen” that was tall enough. This pen exceeded my expectations! I would recommend buying two if using for chicks or bigger pets, but it’s perfect for small pets! Very sturdy and super easy to put together, just align the hooks into the holes. Definitely worth the price!

The best play pen for ferrets! We have tried several different play pens and this is the only one so far that has worked with our crazy noodles! My daughter has two escape artists and they have not been able to climb out or root under to escape. You can add on extra sets to make it bigger, though the one is adequate for two animals. The sides are tall enough to prevent jumping out but low enough to step over to get into/out of the pen. The bars are at the perfect width and orientation to prevent the ferrets from climbing out. The pen is light weight and easy to fold up/transport which was a top concern of mine since my daughter (10yrs) is the primary caretaker. Love the pen, would highly recommend!

I want to start off by saying that this is a very sturdy, reliable playpen with a great weight that will not disappoint in quality. It was everything I was wanting, except for the size. The description says that the playpen is 9 sq. ft., which would be PERFECT for 2-3 guinea pigs. (depending on gender) It's made by Midwest, which also makes a veterinarian recommended cage for guinea pigs that measures in 8 sq. ft. When I ordered this playpen I was expecting to receive one that was 1 sq. ft. larger than their current cage, so they'd have a bigger space to run around in during play time. I would say that this playpen is closer to 5, maybe even 4.5 sq. ft. once you set it up. It's definitely smaller than their Midwest cage, and it doesn't give them the extra space they advertise. I REALLY wish it was the advertised size, because I would've given it a perfect score and been very enthusiastic about my purchase! That picture shows my two baby guinea pigs (one 9mo, one 3wk) playing in the playpen.UPDATE: I contacted MidWest directly via email and they issued me another playpen for free to make up for the lack of space with just one. It took about two weeks to get in, but all I had to do was send them a purchase confirmation and my address. I was so happy with how simple the entire process was! Now that I've connected two of them, it's the perfect size/space for my two guinea pigs. I'm sure that it is even big enough for 3-5 guinea pigs. (Depending on male/female.) The connected space is well over 9 sq.ft. I stand by what I said as far as quality goes, and considering how easy it was to get the additional playpen to make up for the smaller-than-advertised space, I'd definitely recommend if you're willing to go that route. To be honest, I still have no idea how the single one can be so small, but the additional one makes a HUGE difference. It's unreal, but included is a picture.

I really love the cage so far. We got it because we are going on a trip soon and wanted it to be easier for our ferret sitter to contain them. Our ferrets are a bit older so they mostly sleep, so this is the perfect amount of room. If you have a kit I may recommend getting two and combining them or letting your ferret get plenty of time out of it. Ferrets should normally get at least four hours out of the cage daily, so if you’re following that, this is perfect. Especially for elderly ferrets. They enjoy not having to climb platforms.The cage is easy to take down and put back up. You can easily slide it in a corner when not in use. Super easy to put together.

It is very colorful, but so tiny, I had 4 baby chicks to put in here, and within a week, it was too small for them. I also had issues with the fence staying latched together. I finally just had to zip-tie it closed.

I have been using this down the middle of my living room to block my guinea pigs from getting to areas with house plants. It is very sturdy and easy to prop up/ brace. My girls have not been able to climb over it, and it is a good height for me to be able to step over. I do keep it draped with a cloth to protect my foot from scratches when I do step over it.
