Perfect replacement for the failed (and unobtainable) oem probe.

Have a 5 year old Bosch Model HBL8450. The probe failed after about two years - developed a kink in the cable at one end and started giving false readings. Bought a replacement probe from Bosch for about $80 dollars. It failed after 3 years - same problem. I saw this OEM version and it looked like the exact same probe. Took a chance and paid $21 ($15 with $6 shipping) and it looks exactly the same and works just like the original. I suspect that Bosch and the other manufacturers source their parts from the same factory in China. Only minus is it takes several weeks to arrive via China Post.

I purchased this sensor to replace the OEM equipment provided with the oven, the cable for which had begun to fall apart over the years. This replacement unit works perfectly - we finally had the chance to test it on the Christmas turkey, which turned out perfectly done. Highly recommended, would buy again.

Works great! Replacement is the same as the original.
