McDavid Sweat Band & Waist Trimmer Belt for Men, Back Support, Improves Posture During Workouts, Waist Trainer For Men

edit dec 2024: Well. I don't use it much for the waist but surprisingly i found a new use for it that I never really expected. I've always wanted to try running but never could because my chest bounce too much (even with sports bra) and it's always just so uncomfortable and i hate how it looks. Well. I discovered instead of using this on my waist, i can wrap it around my chest over my sportsbra for a really tight compression and support (and since it's velcro and elastic, can adjust how tight i want it). And now i can run and jump around and the bouncing is WAY less! it's so much more comfortable now! I couldn't wear it over my workout clothes though as it can shift a bit more, so I usually wear it over my sportsbra and then my tshirt over it, but with the bottom folded under to soak up sweat (because this thing will still make you sweat like crazy). Worn this way, it's so secure and just really amazing for us ladies who really want to have better cardio capabilities but really had difficulties due to chest bouncing too much. I don't know how many years since I bought this, but coming back now to give it a full 5 stars for this added functionality XD ------ I've been using this when i workout and here's the thing - I didn't notice any dramatic reduction on my waist line or anything. When i took it off, my abs didn't appear flatter. However it DID make me sweat like crazy in the mid section - i know because when this thing comes off, i absolutely needed to change my top and my gym pants because the waist/hip area that this covered would be absolutely soaked lol. Even though it didn't really dramatically change my belly shape or whatever, it's kinda nice to see so much sweat coming out of there XD I also bought this based on what people said that it can help support the spine/waist/back. It kinda did but not by much - the back is elastic, it's the front that's more rigid. It wont' really help posture, but it did feel like it provided a level of support for the area. What i REALLY like about this is that it's kind of like wearing a stomach warmer. LOL It's really comfy when it's on! Once i put it on, i kind of don't want to take it off because 1) i know i'd be soaked in sweat, and 2) my middle area would get all cold and stuff. XD It's just so insanely comfy to have all that warmth there! That said, it looks absolutely ridiculous when on. XD sometimes i look at myself in the mirror and start cracking up because I look like an old Chinese woman. LOL but oh well who cares, i work out at home so only one who sees it is my housemate and she doesn't give a crap. It's also kind of awesome because it doesn't ever soak up any of the sweat, so you don't have to worry about it soaking up sweat and develop germs. After i take it off I just leave it facing up and it'll just dry up. Funnily enough i didn't notice any salt marks (from the sweat evaporating) so i'm guessing since i wear this over my gym clothes, the salt stayed on my clothes and didn't get on the waist trimmer - which means essentially there's just water on the belt anyway so it probably wouldn't get dirty very easily.

I wear this every day while power walking and when I am weight lifting. Wow! I sweat! I can feel the heat radiating from my mid section when I'm walking. That reminds me to walk straight and pay attention to my posture. I don't believe it will make me lose weight (fat) in my mid section but I never sweat in the middle of my body either so I like that this does that. I believe the heat it causes helps get things going in there. Due to the heat I feel, it encourages me to walk harder and lift more. I like this. I think it was well worth the money. I've only been using it for about 5 days. I wore it over a tshirt/exercise bra one day - the bra has a tshirt attached going down to the navel. That top was drenched! I mean, when I got home and took off the belt and the tshirt I had over it. The bra/shirt was soaked. I have worn it on my bare skin with no problems. Update: 1/8/2014: I believe the waist trimmer belt does help. You do sweat if you just wear it around the house doing housework but not just sitting still. I've worn it on the property when I was picking up branches or mowing, doing laundry, etc. You have to wear it where you are not bending a lot because you can feel it push up under your breasts if you do that - of course, it probably depends on how you wear it. I wear it lower on my tummy because that's where I want to sweat. You can wear it higher and probably sweat even more because we do tend to sweat directly under our chest. When I go walking with it on, I can feel the heat in my tummy and lower back region, immediately in to the walk and I've never felt this without the belt. I like feeling that heat. It reminds me to walk proper/stronger and faster. It does motivate me. I wash it with just a soapy sponge and wipe down with wet sponge - I would never put in washer as it would probably do the wrong thing to the belt. I am glad I got it and when I wear it out - I'll get another. It won't get rid of the belly fat but I believe it is helping "Me" get rid of the belly fat

I mainly use this product for working out. Cardio, weight lifting, the normal stuff. I started my diet August, but bought this in September. Since August, I’ve lost 10 pounds a month consistently. I didn’t lose any extra weight because of this waistband. So don’t expect it do make you shed extra pounds because of the sweat. It’s still been 10 pounds every month for me personally. But it gets the stomach area to sweat significantly more. With consistent working out, I can tell that this in fact did help the waist area slim down surprisingly more than I expected it to. Shirts that used to be tighter on the gut area now have loosened significantly. Stomach area as a whole has shrunken and is tightening up. But again, please just keep in mind, I work out every single day, and that the waistband helps with that just a bit. If you do nothing, put on the waistband, expecting it to just slim you down magically, it won’t. The Velcro is tough doesn’t budge. I still have a bit of a gut, and because of that sometimes about an inch of the top of the band folds down, doesn’t affect me or makes me sweat less. Hasn’t fallen apart on me yet either.

When it comes to products like these, I usually wait a while to post my reviews. I have just loved this waist trimmer so much, though. There are so many uses to this, it's amazing! I have had the after-baby belly pooch for 4 years now (that's a long time post-baby). I mean no matter how much I work out, my abdomen is the last place I will ever see results. First of all, it is great quality. It is easy to put on and take off - I thought I would have trouble making it tight but it is easy. It doesn't create the "muffin" effect where there is a line between this and my fat. Definite plus! After intense workouts it is easy to wipe off with a damp towel. No signs of holding in odor whatsoever. The material on the inside is comfortable as well. It doesn't move a bit when it is on nor does it bunch up for me. For workouts, this is great! I tried an intense cardio workout (Insanity) with this and I haven't seen so much sweat around my mid-section EVER! I also used this with Sweet Sweat once, and I had great results that time as well. I was afraid that either with my own sweat or with the Sweet Sweat it would start to move around but it still held its place VERY well. Does not stray at all no matter what exercise I'm doing. To wash off the Sweet Sweat I mix a little Dawn dish soap on a damp towel and it seems to break apart those heavier oils. For everyday wear, this is also great. It works really good as a girdle and sucks my fat in. It has really helped with my posture as it is almost impossible to slouch with this thing on. That is one benefit I didn't expect. I've worn this underneath dresses and form fitting shirts and it is not noticeable at all. As I stated before, no protruding bulge either. Works really great to make me LOOK like I've already lost those inches. I can also see it does tighten up the core a little bit too after I take it off. I'm not sure if it's because my abdomen is always engaged with this on or if it's just from having it on for such a long period, but my belly seems to be a little more taut after wearing this the whole day through. I know a lot of people are going to jump on me for this, but I also wear it to sleep - which I read is a big no-no. It constricts your organs so it's probably good to give it a break during your sleep. I haven't experienced any problems with wearing it to sleep though. I make it a little looser so I don't have the constriction and it doesn't bother me at all. I like it because it just keeps everything kind of tight. Though I wouldn't recommend this part to everyone, I think a lot of new mommies could benefit from wearing this at night. It'll keep that looser skin from pregnancy nice and tight so gravity doesn't do too much damage. I love this waist trimmer!!

First of all this Item is a must have in my opinion if your trying to shred belly fat. After reading all the great reviews i went ahead and bought 3 of these. One for father who is 6'0, 265 pounds, one for a friend of mine who is 5'4, 115 pounds and one for myself that that weighed 175 pounds (5'9). I was a little worried that the waist trimmer would not fit in my dad since he had a pretty big belly and my female friend who is short and has a small wait line. Not only that but I wasn't sure it was even going to work at all. After receiving my waist trimmers I tried it on myself and also on my female friend and it fit perfectly. It raps once over my body and have a good foot in a half left over. Its super comfortable even when running and working out. I love how it keeps my core warm and sweating throughout my work outs. It makes me sweat like crazy! And after using this product for about 3 months I have nothing bad to say about it. Now let me go back to my father . Like I said my father is a big guy with a big belly. With the help of myself and my dad we barely managed to wrap this waist trimmer around him. I had to assist my dad for about a week to put it on and with the waist trimmer looks a bit small on him since he has a big belly. But after changing my father's diet and working him out we both managed to lose some weight and now the belt is fitting better on my dad. To conclude, anybody who is average size or even with a decent size belly and want something comfortable that will help you shred belly fat this is a must. As long as you change your diet and work out using this waist trimmer you'll see results quick and for the price you really can't beat this!

This is one of those rare times when the cheapest option actually turns out to be the best. I will set this up by saying that I carried low and large. I am tall and have a long torso. I had debilitating Pelvic Girdle Pain (including the pubic joint) by the end of the first trimester that never went away. I had swelling in my legs and ankles caused by pressure in my pelvis. I had lower and upper back problems and had ongoing chiropractic care through my entire pregnancy. I needed good belly support! I purchased the Prenatal cradle and the Bellybra on Amazon. I already owned the McDavid waist belt (also purchased on Amazon) as I had been using it from time to time for lower back support before I became pregnant. The prenatal cradle was the most expensive option and simply a gawd awful contraption. It was not easy to wear under clothes or over clothes and did not offer relief. I found it to actually add to my discomfort. The elastic was too narrow and cut into my lower belly. The vaginal support attachment was very stiff and dug into the tendons on each side (inner thighs). It was not adjustable enough to fit my dimensions well. I returned it. The bellybra was my second favorite support and is a product I would use again. It was comfortable for part of my second trimester, but by the end of it (second trimester), the elastic was cutting into my belly and rolling/ riding up. Though it may appear to offer breast support, I did not find that to be the case. A bra is still needed, but the combination was relatively cool and comfortable (before I grew out of it) My favorite was the $12 McDavid neoprene waist belt. I wore the McDavid off and on through my entire pregnancy and it was the only support that *never* cut into my belly and was adjustable enough to fit for my entire pregnancy. I loved it so much that I wore out the velcro on the first one and ordered another one. I sometimes clipped a pair of wide suspenders to the McDavid belt for extra support. This combination was adjustable and comfortable through the later parts of my pregnancy and could reasonably be concealed under clothing (though I would always wear the neoprene McDavid belt over fabric..like maternity pants or a bellyband). Once I put the suspenders on, I didn't have to take them off again and could put it on like slipping on a jacket. Just fasten the velcro in front and go. One additional advantage of the neoprene belt was that it kept the skin on my lower belly supported and moist. Combined with my religious use of Shea butter, I think this helped prevent stretch marks that would have been otherwise extensive. [...]

I wld give 5 stars but it’s hit or miss with this product. I have been buying this belt for many many years but in the past year it’s not been consistent in the fit. Sometimes the neoprene is thick and won’t fit comfortably arnd my waist & is too small and other times it’s thinner and fits just perfect. Need to make it the same fit consistently. It’s a one size item and shld be that way otherwise make different sizes.

I am a plus sized woman at 5'9" and blank and blank pounds...lol I have a "mother's apron" after two c sections and just loving my baked goods and being a foodie. Anyhow, I am tired of the fat deposit on my stomach and happened to come across a youtube where the lady used Albolene and this his McDavid 491 waist trimmer and she had a before and after that was like WOW. So yesterday I embarked on my journey to shed this stomach area of mine. Now I know this belt won't do it alone, even with the Albolene it will not rid me of this big bulge. I will say this, my waist is way more than 50" I wear a size 24 dress and I am able to get the belt on and still breathe AND work out. So if you are a big girl or guy this belt will work. I do want to say that I have to go eeney meeney miney mo and choose between the top part or the bottom part of my stomach so today I just ordered a second belt so I can wear them both at the same time. The picture is either edited or that man/model has a terribly shor torso because I could almost wear 3 belts to cover my entire torso, but I will just try 2 and see if a third is needed. Again I am trying to not just trim my waist but trim down my entire stomach including a pouch and back fat as well. Enough with the rambling here are the specifics again. I am 5'9" and weigh blank pounds wear a size 24 in womens dress my waist is larger thatn 50" I am able to get the belt on comfortably I feel like I need another belt to cover my entire torso The belt made me sweat just a little when I tried it on to go grocery shopping and did light walking for 45 minutes I worked out for 15 minutes and rubbed Albolene on my skin then wrapped myself with plastic, put on a pair of spanx THEN I put the belt on top and I was dripping, no pouring down sweat in the covered area, but the rest of my body sweat profusely after using this belt and Albolene combo. I normally, virtually do not sweat when exercising other than on my brows, this made me sweat all over. The belt is comfortable. I can't speak to it causing skin irritation as I did not put it directly on my skin. No smell The Velcro is secure, I was afraid with me having to really pull at it to make it fit me it would come undone, but it didn't. As stated above, you will get a little bit of a sweat without using no other aid and just lightly walking...however the best benefit is wearing when you are going to work out and do some serious cardio. I'll update after I wash and wear longer. Good luck all!

Non-slip against skin but slight movement if worn above fabric. Acts as good reminder to concentrate on core. Raises temperature around core area and improves workout. Helps with motivation. Cons: Be prepared for the rubberized smell that lasts for a few uses. Do not expect posture support. Traps moisture close to skin and continuous extended use may cause irritation. Atrracts moisture and takes a few hours to dry. Overall: Love the product. Good buy.

Believe me guys,This product has worked beyond my expectations.Its easy,safe and an effective way to be a part of your fitness regime.It made my torso sweat after 20 minutes of running and cycling combined.I would recommend to anyone who has stubborn fat to loose for.
