Gotta love that shรดjo manga...
Nana Osaki is a punk-rock singer with a style to match, and Nana Komatsu, also known as Hachi, a small-town girl who moves to Tokyo to start a new life. They meet on a train, and their destinies are sealed. All the characters in Nana have complex personalities and their own histories and their destines intertwine with each other. While the story seems simple on the surface, the plot delves into the darker side of human nature and discuses what brings people together--sometimes NANA O is narrating the story, sometimes its Hachi--both women talk about each other and the decsions they made in their lives and their constant worry that their opposing lifestyles will drive them apart. NANA is long, but its certainly worth the read.
