Kindle Fabric Cover, Charcoal Black (for 10th generation—2019 release only)

I recently purchased a white Kindle in the recent sale, so I can keep my Kindle Paperwhite safe and sound and take this one with me on my travels. I immediately purchased this cover for it, to match the theme - I'm a bit OCD with colours matching! The case arrived promptly, and fits the Kindle perfectly! The colour of the case is an off-white fabric, but still lovely with the white Kindle. So far, the case seems sturdy and reliable. I've had many cases in the past for my previous kindles that, after a while of my long hours of reading at a time and being shoved in my bag, seem to fall apart! I feel this case has no intention of falling apart any time soon, as it is very sturdy. Whilst the price point may be deemed a little on the high side, you will definitely find it is value for money, by keeping your Kindle safe and sound. I have a similar case for my Kindle Paperwhite, and highly recommend that the Kindle range is well-matched with the Amazon case range.

I read some of the reviews and was a little concerned I might not like this cover. Before, I've always had a more padded cover for my Kindle, but this is the Amazon designed one and I wanted a new cover for my new Kindle. I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I like it. It feels strong and fits the Kindle perfectly (as you would expect, as it's designed for it). It's comfortable to hold and the texture of the fabric inside and out is very nice. It feels good quality, which you would hope for at the price it is, and my Kindle definitely feels safe in it. I've dropped it a couple of times while it's been in the cover and all is fine, the Kindle didn't budge at all, and the cover's still in great shape, no dents or anything. Overall, I love it, it's much neater and more compact than the more padded types of cover, but still gives great protection, and looks very smart, too.

There are a lot of reviews out there already about this case, some of which I feel are slightly unfair... So to start, price. It is expensive for what it is. That said, it's a genuine Amazon product and so a perfect fit for the device. It is sightly heavier than I would like, but is robustly built and of good quality. I like the hessian fabric covering. There will almost always be a compromise between weight and strength. Many have commented on the sharp plastic edges of the cover. I myself have found that when folded fully back, I have not experienced this. The magnetic cover functions well and also wakes up the device on opening. It also remains in place when folded fully around the kindle. There have been comments that the magnets are not strong enough. This has not been my experience. Yes it's pricey, but the excellent build quality, perfect fit, and protection it offers to the device are worth every penny. No regrets here...

Lovely looking case, good quality. However when you first try it, the cover does not stay closed very well. It’s described as being ‘secure’ but it’s a very very weak magnet so just falls open and definitely wouldn’t stay closed in your bag. It actually sticks better to the back of the kindle when it’s folded back on itself. Having said that the sleep/wake function works well even if it’s not fully closed. If you are expecting it to snap shut and stay shut like an iPad case, you will be disappointed and this won’t be for you.

These covers are great, they feel very nice in the hand and very premium. I love that the kindle opens when you open the cover like a book, great attention to detail. The cover's texture is nice to hold and it isn't too heavy that it adds too much weight to the kindle. The cover is sturdy and does a good job protecting the kindle. Mine has been dropped a couple of times and never any noticeable lasting damage on the kindle or the cover. A minor criticism is that the outer edge of the cover is quite sharp, and how I hold it as a left hander I find I have to adjust it to find a comfortable point.

I was really unsure about spending £24.99 on a case when the device itself was only £79.99 however with the solid construction and very secure fit it has proven to be a very wise investment. The material is rough enough to give good grip while not being unpleasant, the flap closure works as a sleep-wake device so is really useful and fits really snug. The device just press fits into place and pops straight in, at that point its firmly in place and nice and secure. Complaints, the inside of the front flap is as you can see a dust magnet however that is the only small complaint I have thus far. From this point when I upgrade my kindle I will be factor in the cost of the official case straight away, as they are well worth the cost and compliment the kindle rather than just housing it!

When it was recommended when purchased the Kindle it was a perfect match! It was light and sturdy! It fits like a glove. It is compact and keeps the kindle secure! Worth every penny! The style and colour is perfect! It’s the best recommendation that I have received. Anyone looking for a cover for their Kindle to definitely get this one!
