Just like the ones I used to buy in Okinawa, Japan!
These are just like the ones I used to get when I was living in Okinawa, Japan. They are so good, prefectly sweet & sour- but gives you some healthy fiber to go with it ;) I wouldn't get the seedless ones, they aren't as satusfying, don't last as long, you just chew them & eat then & done. With the seeded ones, you suck on them to soften them up & they gently start coming apart in your mouth, releasing that delicious sweet & tart flavor along the way. When all the plum meat is gone, suck on the seed for s bit & spit it out. It last a good 10-15 minutes that way, instead of the seedless- which v are gone as soon as they hit your mouth. There is another variety I am trying to find, it is a slightly sweeter dried plum & those are delicious as well, if you can find them *(Asian markets carry them) , But, yes, they are yummy! I just wish they were cheaper, considering how many we go through in this house!

Much too dry, hard and salty.
I was introduced to Li Hing during my recent stay in Hawaii. I ate at least a pack a day during my stay and have been craving it ever since. These did not fulfill that craving in the slightest. If you've ever had the real thing, you know that the texture is as important as the flavor. The best ones pull apart and have an almost gum-like texture. These are rock hard and shatter/powder in your mouth- they're entirely too dry. Then comes the flavor- it's no secret that this treat contains an unhealthy amount of salt. However, the ones found in Hawaii mask it well and the sweet/sour flavor is far more dominant. With this one, the salt is the only flavor I could taste. Without exaggerating, it took almost a liter of water to wash the salt out of my mouth after eating just one.The price is also too high for the amount of product but that's a minor point since I don't know the costs involved in importing the stuff and there aren't too many options when it comes to this stuff.

1st order was delicious, but got a bad 2nd order. refund was issued.
This is my 2nd order. The first batch was GREAT. I had to dry them in my dehyrdrator though. I ordered another bag without hesitation. They weren't reddish this time, they were closer to gray color. They tasted terrible too. I sent the company a message about this and they promptly refunded my money. Knowing they will issue a refund may sway you to give these a try. Like I said, they were fantastic the first time. Maybe I just got a bad batch. The first batch was a solid 5-star in taste. The second batch was a poor 1-star. They gave me a refund, so I'll move it up to 4 stars for overall experience and giving them a benefit of the doubt.

A forever customer!!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:i love this snack and it brings memories of being home in Guam. Sometimes I get really good big ones and sometimes I get the smaller kinda salty dry ones. I really love when they still have a little moisture in it. It's not wet but not dry either and sweeter than normal. I can eat a whole bag in 1 week by myself. lol

It’s ok
I have been craving these Asian dried plums for probably a year now and it’s not always easy to find in the stores. Finally I pulled the trigger and bought these online. It is definitely expensive for what you get. Taste is good but I had to agree with another review I read that there is barely any meat on the seed. Overall I have had better but these will do in satisfying my craving.
