Blink XT Wall Mount Bracket Accessories Package

Yeah, so my blink cameras had a freak out this week and some stopped responding for no apparent reason. Good connections, could view temp and stats, but wouldn’t revord, live view, thumbnail, or update. So i had to redo the entire setup. I have only had these mounts a few weeks and while they are cute looking mounts, I was shocked to find they ALL had rusted screws already. I am goig to have to find replacements because in 6 months, you will not be able to get the cameras out of these. You will literally have to break or cut them out if you leave these screws in. Photo attached. All of them looks just like this. 3 mounts, 5 screws each, 15 rusty screws in 4 weeks !! They need to address this immediately.

I like this is different from the others and also have concerns about tiny screws.The installation screws for the mount is very easy to strip.Has anyone trying throwing a football at this to see how well it holds up :=)Update from 4 to 2 stars based on mounting screws.I had to use linesman pliers to get them off and after luckily partial unscrewed.If the screw did not come off, then mount is useless.

The owls as I call them came on time and looked pretty much like they did in the picture. They are made of a light plastic and encase the Blink cameras perfectly.The only drawback I found was the case is held together by a bunch of tiny screws. The screwdriver was included but it took a little time to get them all in and they began to strip out early in the process. If something happens and you misplace the screwdriver and you don’t have one that fits tiny screws (or you strip them out) you would have to break the owl open to retrieve your blink camera. This also makes changing the batteries out a pain.They weren’t that difficult to position and seem to offer much more protection than the original mounts.Hope this helps someone!

All in all I love these brackets. The fit on the Blink units is excellent and very secure. They are easy to mount but as others said the screws that come with the unit aren’t that great. I predrilled but still had trouble with the softness of the screws wanting to strip as I tightened. I had some spare screws which worked great. With such an easy fix and with how great the holders are I don’t feel it’s worth a reduction in a star. I have already recommended these to my friends since I was so pleased.

I thought these were cute, and they are, but they are a pain to put on the cameras, with little bitty tiny screws that you can't get screwed in without a huge struggle. Even that would be ok if they worked, but I already got one of three stolen when a passing scumbag noticed it and just reached up and unscrewed the camera in the container from the base mounted on my fence. I had it 7 feet up from the ground, but there's no resistance at all to unscrewing the camera with one hand. A recessed nut or cotter, anything to require a tool or two hands, would make it much more secure, albeit too late for me. . . . .

Cute!!!! The mount looks way more sturdy then the originals that come with but the original ones are easy to use when you're figuring out exactly where you want the camera, then get these. I have not cameras where people don't notice them until they are already on camera, and they get a nice reaction lol

The plastic seems a bit cheap lookimg but it's actually fine. I installed the cases just in time because we just got hit by an ice storm and it works perfectly. The case kept the camera lense ice free. I'm very happy with it. The only flaw is the crap ton of tiny screws you have to screw in the back to attach the case to the camera. It makes replacing batteries in the camera difficult.
