This thing works. So awesome. I have an acre and a half and always loved the birds until the black birds and crows came. They have huge poop and it was all over my pool deck and loungers. Disgusting. Everywhere. Day one of plugging this this in and birds are gone. No more. Nadda. Its amazing.

Once a year from Spring to early Summer we have an issue with Grackles in our Italian Cypress trees that line our backyard. The Grackles here have come back yearly for about 3 years now. Seems once they discovered our trees that was it.I really wanted to like this product and even worked with the manufacturer with different settings throughout the time we owned it. We let the Bird-X BirdXPeller Pro run from first light to dusk each day, every day for almost a month. At first we thought it was working, but after a few days with our initial settings the Grackles returned. We then tried a second group of settings that they pretty much ignored as well. Again, both times working with the manufacturer, not just me guessing. I called the manufacturer again and all they could do was recommend their liquid bird deterrent at $120/gallon.The Grackles have now nested in pretty well and are here until their chicks are born while crapping all over our patio and pool area along with dive bombing us and our occasional guests. The only things to look forward to is when the chicks drop for our cats to devour and when they leave until next year.Although the Bird-X customer service was great (1 star) this product simply didn't work in our case. I'm returning it.

The Bird-XPeller Pro Electronic Bird Preventer is extraordinary! It worked well beyond my expectations. We have a wonderful multi-trunk tree in the backyard that attracts lots of birds at dusk and through the night. They leave bird droppings on the bark, branches, rocks, bushes, brick pavers, and furniture below the tree. The mess needed to be cleaned almost daily. I bought the Bird-XPeller hoping it would help. The instructions said it could take month to work. After the first night, there was no more mess. The birds stayed away. I kept it running all day every day for a few weeks, then shifted it to only run at night per the instructions. I changed up the calls last week, again per the instructions. 6 weeks later and it continues to work wonders. Well worth the investment! Thank you for your fantastic product!

I purchased this out of desperation and really didn't think that there was a shot in Hell that it would work. I have lived in my home for 3+ years and specifically got the best location ( which I paid for) because it backs into open space at the top of a hill. And I only have neighbors on one side. It's beautiful. . .except for the pidgeons. Hundreds a day for the past 3 + years have roosted on my roof top, in my fountain, on the sills. . .and have created so much damage from poop to the grounds and my furniture and have covered my solar panels . I can't even walk outside without sweeping the inches deep bird poop that is everwhere. I spent thousands on stuff for the roof to keep them from nesting, to no avail.I don't want to jinx myself, but I put this outside yesterday morning after I got it, and the birds have left my roof and at first went to my neighbor's roof (something I had never seen in 3+ years) and then to a home way in the distance. This makes sense since the box is supposed to work for an acre. I have not had a day since the fountain was built that there weren't 20 pigeons in it at all time. They are gone!!It's only been 36 hours, so I am cautiously optimistic, but WOW!!!The unit is quite loud. There is a volume on it, but it is rather an annoying sound. . .but I am totally willing to put up with it as long as the damage to my property stops. I was kind of hoping that it would be an ultrasonic sound only heard by animals, but at this point, I'll put up with the noise.The only other challenge is that technically it should point to the area that you are trying to protect, but to do that, I would need it in the yard, but it isn't waterproof. It feels like a solar option would be more practical. However, I will keep it on my covered patio for now and hope that it keeps working.

I had a high hopes for this unit to scare away starlings, black birds, cow birds and crows. The first season used, it was effective at repelling starlings and most blackbirds and cowbirds but not crows. The second season (Spring 2024) used continues to be effective for most starlings but has lost all effectiveness for black birds and cow birds. Does not repel crows. I have varied location, angle, volume, frequency and sequence of distress calls but no combination has been effective against the blackbirds or cowbirds this season. It is an irritating sound to humans and neighbors. Limited applicability.

The product works as it's described, but ultimately didn't keep the birds off of my fruit trees. I ran it the whole season with various times and calls, but ultimately always had birds in the trees eating the fruit. Some of the settings may have reduced the birds, but it certainly didn't solve the problem. Ultimately I got rid of the unit (which was likely annoying the neighbors) and replaced with with a air dancer which has solved the problem.
