Fit my Stihl 025 perfectly and runs fine
When I saw that a new coil from Stihl would cost me around $100, I wasn't willing to do that to make a 25 year old chainsaw work. This coil fit perfectly and my 025 runs again. The plug wire is too long, but I was able to coil it and tuck it in with no problem. If I can get at least another few years of light use out of it, I will be very satisfied.

It DOES NOT FIT AN STIHL MS 250, although it was advertised as doing so.
Sorry. When I tried to fit the part, it would not fit so as to produce the proper gap with the flywheel. It was only $14.95 so I tried to grind the contoured contacts down with a dremel tool to allow a proper clearance, but I couldn't get it to work. The contact extending from the coil part of this unit sticks out too far, and you can't adjust the clearance. It does not fit. It would not mount.

Fits an old Stihl 021 chainsaw and fixed my no start on warm engine problem.
My very old Stihl 021 would start in two pulls when it was cold, but wouldn't start at all once the saw was warmed up. I bought this coil to try and fix that problem and it worked perfectly! Cold or warm, even after hours of running, it will start right up after a pull or two.If you're having a problem where your saw starts when cold and won't when warm, try replacing the coil.

Chinese junk
It worked for an hour. Chain saw got warmed up, it stopped sending spark. Never worked again. Had to order better one.
