Quick and easy to use
I bought this for my mother after listening to her complaining about her dull knives. It is easy to use and gets a good result. It is sturdy but lightweight.

Just buy it!
I like these less expensive sharpeners. I just can't see spending money on something that I will use once a month or longer. I was using a different brand for quite some time but it seemed to be not doing the job lately so I did my homework and got this brand. Fast shipping as usual and instant gratification! I have five knives attached to a magnetic holder (another great purchase) in my kitchen. I use my knives a lot. This little item is EZ! There are three slots. Simply set it on a level surface and place the knife in the first and pull it back with a little pressure about 6 or 8 times, then move to the second and repeat the process, until you've moved through all 3 stages. Rinse off your blade and viola! I was impressed! It also has a nice underside with attached anti-slip strips that keep it stable on your surface. Just buy it!

Works well
Sharpened my knives well. As time has progressed it gets a little duller, but still works great.

Knife sharpener
I am very satisfied with this knife sharpener. I hadn’t sharpened a few of my knives for some time. With a few strokes thru each section, the knives were so much sharper. I like the way it stays in place as you put the knife thru. The size makes it easy to store when you’re done.

Not sure
The knife sharpener looks like it should do the job, but I have tried to sharpen 6 knives (carving and French) and while the sharpener did a good job on three, the other three seemed to get worse. It is not a matter of 'user error' as I know how to use these things. I am not sure what the problem could be. I do know that somes steel knives won't take an edge, but these are good quality knives. That is my experience. I may go back to a sharpening stone.

IT WORKS!
I’ve no idea what the language is being used for Coarse, Medium, and Fine on my sharpener, see photo, but I will assume it’s logical and that I was correct starting with the left one through to the right one in that order when sharpening my very dull set of knives. Never was much good with the steel sharpener that came with the knife set. Anyway, this gadget has certainly made a big difference, always nice when a tomato slices easily. The centre slot “Medium” (Tungsten blades) seemed to remove the most metal on my knives, probably getting the cutting angle right with edge regeneration, before the final polish with the right slot. All in all a very nice product that feels comfortable in the hand and it does what it says on the box - Sharpens Knives.

Fresh out of college
Fresh out of college with not a lot of money in the bank, luckily I came across this knife sharpener. This knife sharpener has all the features one could be looking for without breaking the bank. Compared to the ones I saw in the shopping mall this one is inexpensive and I thought I would give it a try given the price. I am happy with the purchase as it does exactly the same, if not better than what the other higher cost ones. Having been using cheap dull knives, I could not believe how well this knife sharpener was able to sharpen the knives to new again. I was barely able to slice through tomatoes without smashing the tomatoes and now it slices through tomatoes with ease.

Works pretty well
I chose three knives from our drawer that were all of the same make and material but of somewhat different blade shape--nothing fancy, just basic kitchen knives, about 8 -10 inches long. I read the instructions on the box. Before sharpening the knives, I tested them by drawing each one of them across the edge of a paper towel to see if they would cut into the paper. None did, but one seemed to almost do it. After sharpening the knife on the Chef Sharpener a few times, I was able to get it to cut into the edge of the paper. With the other two, it was more difficult. After sharpening them about ten times (i.e., about five stroke passes in each slot, then about five five stroke passes in slots two and three), I was able to get one of the two duller knives to cut into the edge of the paper. Therefore, I would say that the Sharpener works pretty well; but if your knife is rather dull, it is likely to take several more strokes than are suggested by the instructions.
