OXO Good Grips Large Vegetable Prep Peeler

Very easy to use and very sharp. Went through red and white cabbage easily with hardly no pressure. Wish I got one earlier as using a knife to cut cabbage is not for me, due to arthritis. I will have to try peeling turnip next.

I bought this, as I like to eat butternut squash, and was sick of fighting with the squash to get the skin off with a normal little veg peeler...I thought to myself "there must be an easier way!". So I searched, and found it! OXO Good Grips Large Vegetable Prep Peeler is the way forward! It's almost too good! It peels the butternut squash quickly, and is strongly built, so you don't have to worry that you are going to damage it. It's strong, sharp, well built... but just be extra careful of your hands - it is super sharp, and I did end up cutting my hand badly with it. So just be careful and you will be pleased with how quickly you can peel a squash!

very shap and easy to work with. If knife are not sharp as i put pressure i cut my hand but if they are sharp it does the job smoothly. I once bought cabagge shredder and i love it. Few days ago my Aunt's daughter asked me if i could send her sharp once so i bought 3 pack, kept one pack for me and going to send the rest for her. It's so satisfying to peel or shred the veges with these.

I used to shred cabbage with my kitchen knife. I like it fine. Used to take ages. I was only making Chicken wraps ! This is extra wide and does a great job of shredding cabbage. Extra easy. I do my onion and cucumber with it as well now. Very handy.

Good peeler but be VERY careful. It's so sharp my mum cut off the very tip of her finger and has to go get it seen to!!

This is amazing. It's super sharp and we use it to shred cabbage to make coleslaw. It is so easy to use. The handle is very comfortable and peeling is now so quick with this. Really easy to clean too

I have always been a fan of OXO Good Grips kitchen equipment, and in the past, the peelers have been no different. As the standard size is sometimes tricky for peeling large items (eg Butternut Squash) I decided to pick up this larger device. Whilst the blade is sharp and the handle of decent quality, the blade only allows cutting in a single direction (right hand pull towards you). Whilst this is fine for peeling a carrot, other items benefit from a back and forth motion or even pushing away from the you (tricky items to hold like a pumpkin); not sure why OXO have taken this option away on the larger blade, but it is enough of a quality of life depreciation to look at a replacement.

Shreds cabbage like butter, grips decent but be careful as it's very, very sharp.

Oxo has always been my go to kitchen articles. Quality is always there, the price is right and they do last. So tired of cutting your veggies, wider tool will work perfectly on cabbages, potatoes (large ones), zucchini. Any vegetable that you want wide strips of. Is very ergonomic, fits well in the hand. Blade is sharp. Very good tool. 5*****
