Great canteen
Fits a gi issue stainless steel cup perfectly. Fits in a lc 2 pouch correctly. Well built. Should last many more years than I'll be around.

Not G.I. issue.
I was wanting a G. I. style metal canteen. Actually made in china. The water neck is smaller than old American issue. Fits in a issue canteen cover and works O.K. Just a little bit of a letdown but carries water.

Great Bottle. GI Canteen bottle are so multi-functional. You can boil water safely directly inside the bottle. It's single wall and not thermos. 1 quart capacity is good enough for a day walk. Love it

Seam leaks
Looks like a good design, but the seam is not completely sealed, so water drips out. Until it's fixed or redesigned, I don't think it's going anywhere.

Fantastic canteen
I originally bought this as a prop, but the stainless steel construction (even though a bit heavier than backpack canteens) gives the canteen a rugged appeal. So I've been using it as a water bottle for walks and hiking. You will need some kind of holder or shell to carry it on a belt or slung across the shoulder, but the canteen itself is a great piece.
