After 6 years, I FINALLY found jean shorts that are PEFECT for 35ish year old that feels young still and not ready to do the shorts down the knees route, but I definitely can't sport those tiny things from American Eagle! I'm a size 4 in everything and these were very true to size. The best part about these shorts is the stretchiness and the thigh area is not against my thighs (I hate that!). I hold some weight in my legs and that's the hardest part about shorts is the tightness around thighs but waist is small. I feel so confident in these knowing they fit well and look good for my age. I wear these and the darker wash ones everyday now and actually love jean shorts again! The last thing that sold me is the edges - I don't like them folded which you see all over with older age shorts/stores.

Gave 4 stars ONLY b/c I wish that I could get a little dark color.With that being said I’m liking these so far. Plan to wear them tomorrow.I like that they are not super tight around the leg yet no so loose that they make me look bigger. I’m 5’1 and weigh 138 and I ordered the size 8.They are step hem also, which I like b/c I have thick thighs with cellulite do they are a “step” longer in the back. Going search for another pair similar to add to my collection. All other shirts I have will be thrown.

Let me start this by saying that I don't wear shorts. I'm not a fan of summer because I REALLY don't like shorts. But it's only getting hotter, and I decided that I wasn't going to be miserable all summer just because I hate how I look in them. I'm 5'3. 175 pounds, and I carry weight (and cellulite) in my hips and legs. As a new-ish Mom, I also have new postpartum body things to contend with. Suffice it to say, I wasn't looking forward to shorts shopping. I've ordered and tried several pairs, and most have ended in tears because of how terrible I felt in them, or how "old" they looked. (These post-baby hormones are no joke!) On a whim, I decided to give these a shot. I LOVE THEM. They are a smidge snug in my stomach area, but that's fine. They are a fantastic length, and the step hem gives me a little extra coverage on the back of my thighs. They aren't super tight around thigh, and they don't bunch up when I walk. They are cute and trendy and the length makes you feel like you're wearing "cool shorts". I think my husband is just as happy as I am about these shorts because there were no tears today! I'll be ordering more, and I look forward to not shopping for shorts for at least five (ten? twenty?) more years!

I am 5'7 and 140ish but have bigger thighs and a smaller waist. It's hard to find denim shorts that aren't too tight in the thighs. These shorts are perfect. They aren't tight and are a great length...not too long and not too short. After wearing them several times I bought the regular denim wash too.

These shorts were exactly what I was looking for....white, longer length, frayed ends, some distressing. They arrived and loved them, until I went to try them on. I have other shorts with the same cotton/elastane percentage so I was judging size by them. This pair did not have the stretch as my other pair though and was too small. I would love to exchange them, but they don’t have the size available. I’m returning them, but will keep checking to see if any become available later. Still giving them a 5 because they were that good!!

These shorts are stretchy and super comfortable! I feel like the length is just perfect to not be showing too much skin and also not so long to feel like an okd lady!

5’1”, 120 pounds. Ordered a 6 and they fell off me. Way too big.
