Sprout-able barley
I bought this barley to sprout for my chickens. it works very well and they love it. I cannot comment on the flavor as barley is one of the things I cannot safely eat myself. Sorry

Bad product
I am so sorry I wasted my hard earned money on this product. It has been 2 weeks and only about 10% of the seed has sprouted. Such a disapointment.

Didn’t sprout
I soaked seeds for 24 hours then drained. I have rinsed and drained 2x a day for a week and there are probably 4 sprouts. No good. Did everything by the book. Using non chlorinated water. Sad. If my chickens only knew what was coming to them, they would be sad too.

Works, clean seeds
I purchased this for sprouting and it worked, I did not find contamination, and if there was, then it was not a problem. However, I did wash the seeds twice a day.

Low germination rate and tough.
I tried several times to grow these seeds, but had no more maybe 50% of them to sprout. I followed directions and used pretty much the same method I use with other sprouts, but just couldn't get the germination rate to improve at all. I didn't particularly care for the taste, but I'm sure that's just personal preference. But trying to eat a small amount on a salad was like trying to chew hair. It balled up like a hairball and simply couldn't be chewed. I'm growing sprouts for my chickens as well as myself, but am afraid to feed it to them... thinking that a big ball of it in their crops might cause problems. My experimenting with different sprouts must go on though. 🙂

Easy to sprout
I sprout the barley seeds for my chickens.I soak the seeds overnight- by the second day they are already starting to sprout.I have not had any issues.I would definitely get them again.
