Favorite glove!
Bought this as birthday gift for my 10y nephew! He loves it! Definitely already had the “broken in” feel and was easy to start using immediately! Perfect for his 10y hand! great quality! Fit perfectly! Closes easily and comfortably for him! It, without a doubt, functions as it should!

11.5 1st Baseman's glove perfect for 8yo
My son is 8yo and a decent player (best on his non-traveling, non-competitive team). I wanted something not expensive with a deep pocket that would swallow up balls. This is perfect for that. The breaking with some hot water and a mallet and wrapped overnight was 2 days max (search youtube Aso glove break-in). My son has pretty small hands and is able to squeeze this glove easily. It's a big glove for an 8yo but not too big. He's average to small for his age. This is a 1st base "mitt", not a "glove", so if you have some super strict league, they may only let you play 1B or catcher with it, but that's just ridiculous for 8-9 yo kids. This has a great very deep pocket to help him hold onto balls that hit the glove. So the Pro's are super cheap for a glove but good quality, very easy break-in, and easy to catch with. The only con is it's likely not going to hold up for more than 2 seasons. It's a little flimsy already after 1 season but still very useable. The easy break-in comes at a cost of quick wear-out. It's just how it is with these easy break-in leathers. But at this price, 2 seasons is plenty of use and he'll be moving up to the next level and where the rules will likely be more strict and not let him use a 1B all over the field anyway, and will need a new one. This glove is also a great option if your kid only plays 1B very infrequently and you don't want to spend big $ on a second glove. I wouldn't recommend this for very high level travel ball tho, go for the R9 or higher. That said, for the 7-8yo still learning to play and can handle a bit bigger glove, this is awesome.I liked this glove so much for him that I bought the 32.5 Catcher's glove for me as a very cheap glove to teach hi to pitch in the back yard. It is also great and not too small for an adult.

Takes a bit to break it in but it's a great mitt
Takes some time to break it in (you really gotta work the mitt) but it's pretty comfortable. Once you break in the pocket it'll be easier to catch. Leather is nice (you really can't go wrong with Rawlings) and it's not bad for a 11U player (or adult with smaller hands). 32.5". If player has small hands you can wear a batting glove for a little more fit. Definitely recommend this mitt for up to 8th grade competitive (you'll need a much more padded mitt for faster pitching) and definitely recreational for all age groups.UPDATE:Had it for at least a few months. It's still breaking in (as all good mitts should take time) but man it's a *great* mitt. Used it to test a pitching machine and anything over 70mph might need a sting pad for more sensitive hands, but that's only for direct-on-palm catches. Catch it in the webbing and it feels durable.Ball doesn't bully the glove much (if at all) - not a whole lot of recoil when the ball hits the surface. SOLID "thwok" sound when you catch a ball (that's what you want - makes the ball sound faster than it might actually be, which can get into the batter's head and throw off their timing).Very happy with this purchase. Even recommended it to the backup catcher and he's thrilled with it too.

Great budget 1B glove
This is a great first base glove for a younger player or someone who plays 1B as a secondary position. The glove comes pretty well broken in and has a great feel. The pocket is huge and it seems to swallow up any ball in it's path. My son plays catcher primarily but gets some time at 1B when his legs need a break and this glove has worked well for him. I don't think you can get much more than 2 years of use out of it if you use it regularly but it is a great glove for the price.

Great youth softball glove
I got this glove for my daughter who just turned 9 and plays first base on her softball team. I had been searching for a good glove and almost spent a few hundred dollars, but I found this one for under $60—and it’s fantastic! The quality is impressive for the price. We followed a YouTube video to break it in, and now it’s perfect. The pocket is deep, so it traps the ball really well. Overall, this is a great glove and an amazing value.
