Good trap, works well
Successfully caught shrimp for the first time using this trap, tied to a deep dock, baited with fish heads and partially opened cans of seafood flavored cat food. These are Alaska spot prawns. The trap is sturdy and has the necessary legally required features.

Good buy
The media could not be loaded. Nothing to dislike about it. People say Incomplete build because one funnel is tied with cotton strings. They fail to realize that these sometime are lost in the water. The strings degrade and allow for critters a chance to survive if lost under water.

Good trap... Really fresh seafood for dinner!
This trap is well constructed with excellent corrosion protection. It is sturdy and will last for several years if kept free of debris. We have caught quite a variety of seafood in this trap, from shrimp to crabs plus some fish and even an eel. For bait for the shrimp you can put holes in the top of a can of fishy cat food and place that in the bait area near the center of the trap. Crabs really respond to chicken necks, etc... placed in the same area. We have a young son who has really enjoyed checking the trap and seeing the bounty of the sea. Fresh seafood for dinner is great!

Worth the extra money if you need to catch a lot of crayfish.
The only trap that catches a lot of crayfish. I tried every less expensive trap and they either don't catch a lot of crayfish, or crayfish claw holes in them, or they also catch snapping turtles which are then impossible to get out without destroying the trap. I use bread for bait.

Works great
First time out we got over 140 crawdads in just 12 hours sit. That is super good for the freshwater lake we were at, other trips we have don’t even come close. I would highly recommend this to my friends.

If you want just shrimp some other device would be better if it just concentrated on catching shrimp only
Not very effective for shrimp Allows too many other types of marine life to interfere with just catching shrimp. If you want just shrimp some other device would be better if it just concentrated on catching shrimp only.

Catches crabs
A little bit of a learning curve still going in here but it is catching crabs. The holes seem a little large for shrimp but that could still be beginners error. It is durable.

This product had one funnel that is not complete. It is tied in with cotton twine. I'm not happy.
I feel I should get a partial refund. I'm in the florida keys for a month and wanted to use the trap. I'm going to buy the parts to repair it.
