I WAS SO EXCITED TO RECEIVE THIS BOOK AND EVEN MORE EXCITED TO READ IT. I READ THE ENTIRE BOOK IN 2 NIGHTS!!! THIS BOOK IS REALLY 10 STARS!!! EVERYONE KNOWS ALICIA IS BEAUTIFUL, GREAT SONGWRITER AND SINGER, AND GREAT PIANIST. BUT WHAT I ADMIRE MOST ABOUT ALICIA AND FIND MOST BEAUTIFUL ABOUT HER, IS HER SPIRIT!!! SHE HAS A ANGELIC SPIRIT!!! THAT'S WHAT MAKES HER SO BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING!!! THIS BOOK, TO ME SEEMED SO MUCH LIKE A SELF HELP BOOK. IT'S DEFINITELY A JOURNEY, A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY!!! AND WITHIN THESE PAGES, IT CAPTIVATES YOUR SOUL, IT'S ALL LOVE!!! THIS BOOK IS A PAGE TURNER, I HAD THE MOST DIFFICULT TIME PUTTING IT DOWN. I HIGHY RECCOMEND THIS BOOK FOR ANYBODY AND EVERYBODY. IF YOU WANT A TRUE BLESSING, TO ENRICH YOUR LOVING SPIRIT, REWARD YOURSELF BY PURCHASING THIS BEAUTIFUL BOOK, AND ENJOY THIS AMAZING JOURNEY OF ALICIA KEYS.

I read roughly 3 to 4 books a month, every month and this book was incredible. From the first page to the last page, Alicia's words were entertaining, engaging and encouraging. I found myself going back to her albums, playing her music as I read the journey of various songs and albums. Alicia's story is resonated very deeply for me and I appreciate her for sharing her words, life and growth with the world! GREAT BOOK, indeed!

Good Bio

This book is a whole vibe. The Alicia Keys vibe. You know what I am talking about. That smooth, laid back, everything’s gonna be alright vibe. The same vibe you get while listening to her music has been captured in this book. The key component to my 4⭐️ review is Alicia’s vulnerability. More Myself pulled the veil back just enough to give me a deeper understanding of who Alicia really is. She took me on an emotional journey. By that I mean, she not only shared what happened in her life but she also expressed how she felt during those moments. It’s that kind of vulnerability I look for when reading memoir. To give an example of her vulnerability, Alicia describes finding out she was four months pregnant with her second child. Totally unprepared for that news, (she had been drinking a lot of alcohol, working on a new album and Swizz had just been accepted into Harvard business school) she believed it was not the right time to have another child. Therefore, she contemplated not keeping the baby. I loved her honesty in sharing how she felt. It was moments such as this, that made for good reading. I also found much of what she wrote very relatable. Many of her thoughts rang true to me. For that reason alone, the book was well worth reading. One moment in particular, was how she felt the morning she woke up to find Trump had been elected president. Every word she wrote expressed my sentiments exactly! Now, if your wondering if there is any mention of the allegations that Alicia stole Swizz Beats from his ex wife Mashonda. The answer is NO! The reason I gave this book 4⭐️s instead of 5 is because of the way the book jumps all over the place. One minute she’s talking about one thing and then BOOM! The topic changes. For example, on page 183 she writes about an elaborate birthday bash she’d thrown for Swizz Beats. And then the very next paragraph is about the murder of Michael Brown, the unarmed, black teenager who was killed by police in Ferguson. The change in topics disrupted the flow of the stories. But, overall I still enjoyed taking this journey.

I LOVED this book! Alicia Keys is so transparent, raw, and real. She invites you on her journey toward maturity without sugarcoating the mistakes along the way. I’m grateful for her willingness to share with such honesty—it makes her story of authenticity even more powerful. Bonus - she drops so many nuggets along the way

Alicia Keys is literally one of my favorite artists of all-time, so checking this book out was a no brainer to me. This novel isn't an autobiography. It's a journey. A journey from humble beginnings to superstardom and eventually motherhood. Alicia does a great job taking the reader on a journey through each of her albums which are pretty much pillars of her life story. Listening to each album will definitely be a brand new experience after reading this because with this book, I got a peek behind the scenes of each project and what happened in between. I literally felt like I was in the studio as she recorded a couple of her albums, seeing the look on everyone's face as it all started coming together. It's really an immersive experience. From the beginning, to the end, you can see Alicia's mindset change along with the world around her. Although there's significant change, she remains true to who she always was, and that's the beauty of it. You see the growth and the way Alicia and Michelle Burford captured that growth and put it into words was magnificent. If you're a fan of Alicia Keys, I would urge you to give this a read. Although she showed us her true face when she helped kickstart the #NoMakeUp challenge, this is a glimpse of her true identity. This is the story of the woman behind the pretty face, beautiful voice, and GOAT level piano skills. This is the story of the one and only Alicia Augello-Cook Dean.

I enjoyed hearing all the ups, downs, and aha moments, and particularly how you share your mama bear love with your family and all the special people in your life. I appreciate your efforts to get us to where inclusion is the norm. I want to wear pj's at your birthday one day!

I have loved Alicia Keys since her first album was released and I have always been inspired by her music. More Myself gave me an insight into how she has become the artist and woman she is. I didn't know anything about her childhood or how she came to be so successful. I just always felt like I liked her, even more so now. Bravo Alicia! A great, engaging read.
