I love this learning Bible! It’s not just the text, but it also includes explanations that really help deepen understanding. Highly recommend!

For many years I've used the ESV as my primary Bible translation, and I continue to do so. Having said that, the CSB is similar to it - on the literal side of the translation spectrum yet very readable.I really like the notes in this study Bible. Sometimes they rephrase things to help them make more sense, or explain what certain words or figures of speech would have meant to the original audience. They also contain a good number of cross-references. "Everyday" is a good way to describe them, since they are simple and practical. I also like the formatting of them at the bottom of the pages.Another thing that I really appreciate in this Bible (not sure if it's all CSB Bibles or just this particular study Bible) is that OT quotations in the NT are in bold typeface. This really makes them stand out, emphasizing the cohesiveness of all Scripture.This Bible also has nice physical features. The LeatherTouch is my favorite of all the synthetic cover materials I've used... nice, soft feel to it. The font is simple and readable. And having two ribbons is a convenient bonus.One more thing about the translation... lately I've been studying through the Book of Job, and I have to say that the CSB (in my opinion) does the best job translating that book of any translation I've used. Due to the archaic language and poetry in Job, it's an incredibly tough book to translate. I feel like the CSB team did a great job at choosing the right words in a way that allows entire passages to have a continuous theme. In other words, they seem to have relied heavily on context when choosing between possible ways to interpret obscure figures of speech. I know that's a very specific thing to say about an entire translation, but it has proven invaluable to me as I've studied through the book.

The media could not be loaded. Picked up the Bible on a whim, and come to prefer it over many of my others. I found that the information within the Bible was not only easy to read, much better to understand due to how much information they share at the bottom of each page Referencing different scripture and explaining it more in detail. Quality wise I think that this Bible almost takes the cake. Only critique that I have is that some pages were stuck together and not fully cut. However, as I open more and more, the pages do not seem to have this issue, overtime I anticipate this issue going away.

I bought the Holman Study Bible version because it's written in such a way as to be understandable by most everyone. I love the many, many footnotes that further expounds on the verses I've just read. I learn something new at least a couple times a day because I start reading the Bible January 1st and read each day until the end of the year. It includes a Concordance, a three year reading plan, a one year reading plan, Table of Weights and Measures, and Maps. It's all there, right at your fingertips.If you want to grow in your relationship with God, this Bible is a great tool! If this is your first Bible, you've chosen best! If you want to read the Bible through, look no further! ✝️

Unfortunately, every other page is stuck together due to silver gilding on the edges rendering the bible unusable at this point. They are nearly impossible to get apart without damaging the pages because the pages are ultra thin. I just missed the return window so I plan sitting in front of the tv for a few days and gently trying to get them apart so I can use the bible.It's a nice basic black bible with a cross on the front and on the spine with silver lettering on the spine. It says leathertouch but it doesn't feel like leather nor does it feel cheap. The study notes are extensive (not just a concordance or scripture cross-references) and once I can get the pages apart, I'm sure I will get a lot of useful information out of it.This was not to be my primary bible but purchased to add to my collection and I was just about to loan it out to someone I am ministering to and was disappointed that I cannot use it for that purpose unless I unstick 700 pages from each other.Final note is that it took about three weeks to arrive after ordering.Update: Two Dexters, one Paradise, and half an episode of The Pitt and all the pages have been unstuck.
