fabulous workout!
I LOVE these poles. I bought them for an upcoming trip to Italy because I am worried about the stairs etc on the Amalfi Coast. I am now using them every afternoon for my walk - they are AWESOME. I love walking up hills and had no idea how much stress you put on your knees etc when doing so - with the poles your arms really work and I find myself powering up hills I normally trudge up. I am 5'2" tall and these poles, at the very top line, are the perfect height. I love the wrist grips and the cork handles. My only issue is that the little feet come off - I am going to work out why and fix it!

Easily Adjustable
The poles came with simple instructions. They come collapsed and all you have to do is hold them up by the handle and they fall in line. Then tighten each segment to the length you need. Do one for your height, then make the other match it. I'm looking forward to using them.

Easy to use
Very happy with this purchase. Have graduated from a walker to these poles for my daily walk with the pups. Sturdy, easy to adjust, and very handy to fold up and snap to full length when shopping. Kudos to York Nordic for this outstanding product.

Great Customer Service and I love my new Nordic Walking Poles!
Saw an article in AARP magazine about the benefits of Nordic Walking and thought I'd give them a try. I ordered the offered shorter poles for people 5'4' and under, but I was unable to figure out how to adjust them appropriately for my 4'11" height. I was disappointed because I had really wanted to give Nordic Walking a try. As an older woman who needs to lose 20 pounds, I wanted something that would burn calories but not be so vigorous that I would have to give up quickly from pain or exhaustion. I have never written to a company before, but because I was convinced this exercise would be something I could comfortably do and still lose weight, I took a gamble and wrote to Lauren, the owner of the company. I sent her a picture of the poles in what I thought was the lowest position, asking if I had adjusted them correctly. She put me in touch with Matthew, the Director of Customer Service. Apparently the update of the Nordic Walking poles had a longer lower portion, preventing them from lowering enough for someone my height. He stated he would send me the lower section of the poles that were from the previous edition of Nordic Walking poles, and would include a prepaid mailer to send the too-long pole sections back. The lower sections came quickly and were easily installed.I love these things! It took me a few days to be able to coordinate the walking and poles in the Nordic style of walking, but now that I've got it down, I'm really enjoying the experience. I can feel the work out in my arms as I push off with the poles, and my heart rate has definitely increased with the addition of the poles to my normal 5-mile walk. I'm anxiously waiting for concrete evidence of my efforts, but I have been using them for less than a week. In the meantime, I'll just enjoying walking with them and getting more fit.Just as an aside, both Lauren and Matthew were highly encouraging as far as my starting on this walking adventure/exercise regime. It was a very nice and personal touch to their service. If you're thinking about buying these poles, I'd say go for it. They're easy to adjust and use, they're sturdy, fold easily for convenience, and are very reasonably priced. The company is great to work with if you need to get in touch with them. I'm very glad I bought these particular poles!

Perfect!
After some internet research, I decided to up my 10,000 steps a day to include Nordic walking poles and decided on the folding poles from York. Iโm really enjoying them. Although I donโt fold them every day, I like the idea that I can easily take them with me wherever I go. Iโm 5โ6โ and the short poles fit very well with enough room for adjustment. The poles encourage better posture and longer stride length. Adding the arm movement very noticeably increases intensity and and feels great. I can also add to the chorus of praise for York, and Laurenโs, custom service. I had a very small issue that was instantly and professionally resolved. Iโve been walking about five miles a day for the week Iโve had them, with no noticeable wear to the rubber feet. I think they will last a good long time. I love my poles and look forward to many years of use.

A happy ending!
Upon arrival, there was a problem with my order. One component of my order was missing. What was included in the order however, was a business card with the business owners name and number. After postponing my weekend plans with my new poles, I called that number to express my disappointment. Well, let me tell you. Lauren was wonderful. Her willingness to quickly resolve the problem was huge in showing me that not only did she have confidence in her product, she also cared about her customers, and that to me is a winning combination.I love my new poles. I love that I can travel with them. They are easy to adjust. They are lightweight. I am ready at a moments notice to grab my poles and exercise and/or go for a hike.I am 5'2" and these shorter poles are perfect for me.

It was only problem handles too easy removed, so on my trek one of them lost handle.

good poles for traveling
poles fold up very nicely and are small enough to fit in most luggage. Seem very sturdy and am hopeful that they will be long lasting. Have not been tested on any torturous treks yet so time will tell. Got the longer poles as I'm 6 ft tall but I can't see that I would ever extend the length beyond the shortest setting. Also, adjusting the strap doesn't seem to offer enough flexibility for tightening. Maybe I just have small wrists. All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

great for travel
Well designed, great for travel, like the handle and strap. They are a bit noisy compared to my other poles that don't break down is 2 places. But I would recommend them if you need to put in a suitcase. Not sure with carry on if t security would allow on an aircraft due to sharp tip.
