NAGAOKA MP Series MP-110 & MP-110H Replacement Stylus JN-P110

Nice clarity and warmth to the music. This is a decent stylus for those looking for un upgrade without spending too much. Downside is that they wear out quite quickly, if you listen to a lot of records, you will need to replace often (about every 1000 listening hours).

My old stylus was a little over three years old. It was starting to show its age and so I replaced it with this stylus. This is the identical stylus I removed from my system, and it works wonderfully. It has restored the wonderful sound for my stereo.

This is the same type of cartridge I was already using on my Fluance RT85N turntable; I picked up a replacement stylus because my original finally wore out after plenty of use. It’s a reliable, great-sounding cartridge; smooth, balanced, and very enjoyable across all genres. Swapping in a fresh one brought everything back to life. If you’re already using the MP-110, this is a solid replacement that won’t disappoint.

I ordered an MP-110 a few years ago and was completely blown away how good it sounds on my system. The warmth of this cartridge and stylus complements my vintage setup perfectly which consists of: a Marantz 6300 turntable inherited from my dad after he passed away, a lesbox modified Yaqin MS23B all tube phono stage, a handful of warm sounding receivers by Sansui, Pioneer, Technics, Sherwood, and possibly my favorite a Yamaha CR-440 which isn't as warm as the others, but has a perfectly balanced "natural sound" that Yamaha is known for, and for speakers some mid-fi Polk, Sansui, and Kenwood (which sound great to my ears though). Recently I heard a tiny bit of distortion and after troubleshooting by resetting all turntable adjustments and swapping out tubes I suspected a worn stylus since I've put in approximately 700 hours. Nagaoka's recommended stylus replacement after 150-200 hours is completely absurd. Although I don't have a microscope to see the stylus up close I can tell by ear it far surpasses their recommendation. I ordered up a JN P-110 and sure enough that perfectly magical sound was back! Highly recommended for rich, detailed, warm sound from your records! PS - I've tried the JN P-200 stylus on my MP-110 cartridge body and it sounded better than the P-110 but I don't think the price was worth the upgrade. It might be worth it if you use it on the recommended P-200 cartridge body.

I love this cart on my Technichs SL-1200 MkII turntable. Records sound clear across the full sound spectrum with minimal inner groove distortion without breaking the bank.

I've had my nagaoka mp-110 for about 3 years now. I first started noticing more distortion followed by random skipping. I looked at the stylus tip and it was looking dark (not dirt) and nub-like. It was a clear indicator it was time to replace it with a new one. Very simple to install (plug and play). I put in one of the and new records that didn't sound so hot with my original. It was night and day different. Even the bass seemed to get a hit from the worn original. I'm overall pretty happy with the hours I got out this stylus. I would recommend this product for those needing a fresh needle. My only complaint is Amazon should ship this in a box instead of a thinly padded mailer. There was a crack in the hard plastic protection box the stylus was in. Thankfully nothing was damaged.

Easy to change

The sound quality of this cartridge and stylus is absolutely amazing. The bass is full and fantastic. The mid range and highs are full crisp and clean. This is my third replacement stylus in four years using the original cartridge. I think it next time instead of replacing the stylus I’m going to upgrade to the MP 200 . Nagaoko to me makes the top of the line cartridges and styluses for the price. I absolutely love their selves. I guess you can say I highly recommend and I’m a very satisfied continued customer.

Leider in einem Unfall meine Nadel geschrottet. Diese wurde sehr flott geliefert, einfach auszutauschen und jetzt klingts wieder wie gewohnt. Das MP-110 ist mein GoTo-System da es einfach Spaß macht damit zu hören. Es gibt analytischere Systeme, es gibt druckvolleres. Aber das hier ist für mich der beste Kompromiss aus allem. Man muss schon ordentlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen um dieses System zu toppen. Einzigartig: Absolut keine Problem mit "Innerdistortion" (Mit vielen Systemen lässt die Klangqualität besonders bei den Höhen zur Plattenmitte immer mehr nach. Jahrelang mit diesem Phänomen mit wesentlich teureren Systemen gekämpft. Mit dieser Cartridge existiert das Phänomen einfach nicht.)

Si vous aviez encore un doute sur ce stylus, foncez l'ensemble sublimera la lecture de vos vinyles par son spectre et sa précision, jamais entendu mieux dans cette gamme de prix voire même au-delà Envoi soigné et plus rapide que prévu depuis le Japon (arrivée estimée à l'achat vers le 26 Mars, j'ai reçu ma commande aux alentours de la fin février) Je recommande vivement !

Para quem realmente busca a melhor qualidade com um custo menor do que a média das grandes marcas. A Nagaoka traz muita precisão na reprodução de de todas as frequências, sem exageros e nem perdas. Uma pena que apenas dure 100 horas.
