Different taste in each box
I have been a fan of Chomps sticks since I discovered them (they are one of the rare brands, if not the only one, with no added sugar). I eat two or three every day (can eat more but sadly they're not cheap). I tried a few flavors and venison has become my favorite but the taste and texture vary with each new box I buy. The first and second batches were great, the third and fourth were greasy and left a greasy film on the roof of my mouth with a bad aftertaste. But today I bought two from a grocery store and they tasted amazing. I highly doubt that this variability in taste is due to delivery conditions: my last delivery was pretty warm and it might have had an effect on the consistency of the product. It might be a better idea to not buy it in the summer.

Great, But Not My Favorite
I found the venison Chomps to be a bit drier and gamier than the other flavors, but still incredible. It's flavor is exceptional even if not my personal favorite. Would recommend ordering a smaller ct. pack if you've not had them before and want to try them.

I really like them only small issue I have is every flavor they have they all are spicy I would like ones with no spice / heat but other then that I do recommend them

meh - not fully venison, doesn't taste like venison
I have tried the beef sticks in this brand & thought they were excellent so I was really looking forward to this venison version. I love venison, but no one I know hunts anymore. These were slightly disappointing. The flavor is missing. I suppose there is a bit of salt & pepper, but it could use more pepper. The meat itself seems like decent quality, but I can't really tell it's venison. As I'm reading the package, maybe that's due to the "added beef". I wouldn't have bothered buying these if I'd realized they were only partly venison. The coriander & celery power are what I taste most, along side the flavor of the fat which seems to covering any venison flavor entirely. It lists venison as the first ingredient, so in theory there is more venison in these than beef, but really, I didn't taste it at all. I won't buy these again. I need to meet more hunters. :(
