Excellent product that our doctor recommended
One of us had some skin procedures done, and the dermatologist recommended these to protect the surgical sites as they healed. Folks, let me tell you, these things are great! They have a thin non-stick breathable film on the skin side so the dressing doesn't stick to the wound, which is important, and VERY much appreciated. The adhesive portion is about a 1/4 inch wide strip on each end, and even though you think, "Yeah, but is that really going to stick and stay in place?" I can tell you, yes, it does. We had two surgical wounds to dress with these guys, and I'm very impressed with their performance. We have some left over, and will put them into our first-aid supplies for future use.Do be careful when you remove them, though, because the little adhesive strips on each end really do stick tight. You want to peel those up first when removing the bandage to avoid pulling the bandage apart. They really do stick.

Convenient and more painless than gauze pads and tape.
These were first used on me when I had to go the ER after a car accident, and the nurse recommended these to use on my cuts and scrapes. And they work great! They're super convenient since you don't have to use gauze and tape, and I find most tapes aren't adhesive. When I used these on my leg underneath a bandage and a few minor cuts, the adhesion worked really well, and the dressing itself didn't stick to my cut either. The adhesion stuck well on the cuts that weren't under a bandage as well. I had one under my forearm, and the adhesion never started to peel off even when I was typing at my desk. They aren't difficult to peel off, it feels just like any band-aid would.TLDR; Adhesion sticks, dressing itself doesn't, highly absorbent, long lasting throughout the day. Highly recommend.

Top drawer
These are great wound dressings. I was first exposed to them after an injury at work that required stitches and was impressed with there adhesion and resistance to getting wet. I have added them to all my 1st Aid kits.

Adhesive can cause rash
These Telfa pads perform great. The adhesive combines the two properties that 1—it doesn't come loose from the skine, but 2—when you pull it off, it doesn't pull the hairs out. However, for at least one person I can verify, the skin where the adhesive is reliably gets a rash.Possibly related: the label says 'Caution: The Packaging of This Product Contains Natural Rubber Latex Which May Cause Allergic Reactions" [sic]. It's not clear if the pad itself has latex.I don't know if the original Kendall Telfa pad formula was changed when acquired by Tyco then by Medtronic. It might be worth trying the competitor Telfa pad by Curad.

Easiest to remove of any bandage adhesive we've tried.
My husband had a larger squamous cell carcinoma removed from the top of his head and the large, deep circle has taken a very long time to heal over. The doctor's office gave him a small supply of these telfa pads and I was delighted to find a good size box of them on Amazon. Although you can buy the larger ones and cut them, this 2" x 3" size is totally perfect for his needs.Any other kind of "band aid" adhesive either won't stick at all on his hair (what little he has left), or sticks so tight that a lot of hair gets pulled out each time it is removed.Only one time has he had trouble removing one of these, and that was when he thought he had it all off before taking a shower. After that edge which he left on was wet it did not want to come off. All the other times they stay affixed even over his thin hair and they come off easily.Five stars, for sure.
