Skullcap sedates the nervous system and helps you calm down and relax after a long day. It has headache and migraine relieving properties as well as muscle relaxing, tension-busting benefits. Skullcap has been shown to lessen the severity or frequency of seizures in some people. It also can help improve digestion, since it's a bitter mint-family herb. This herb smells mild and slightly sweet, and tastes pleasant on its own or with other relaxing herbs. I love using it in my calming, nighttime tea blends. Skullcap tincture loses potency within a few years, and dried herb even more quickly. You can take it as a tea, tincture, capsule, fresh or freshly dried. So this dried herb honestly doesn't do much in terms of sedating me, but it may affect more sensitive people. It may possibly interact with psych meds and pain meds, and may sedate some people too much during the day. Organic is good! Buy from a reputable company such as Frontier, or grow your own. Adulterated skullcap with germander causes liver problems. I'm happy with this organic skullcap and I've used it in various herbal tea blends and in my recent herbal headache tincture.🌱

Great size, it filled 2 of my 1/2 gal jars. It arrived in an ok bag, however I promptly vacuume sealed it into jars. It's great for herbal medicine and tea blend uses
