It works great for me.
I was initially going to get a Brother B/W laser printer but the nondetachable cord was a deal killer. I wanted a power cord to my length and color. I came across this Lexmark B/W laser printer which look and appear to meet my needs. IMO the esthetics, build quality and performance is outstanding.I had no issues installing the printer printer on my desktop. I went through the printer menu to connect to my network without issue. I would suggest watching YouTube videos on the subject if you have issues.

Great compact laser printer for all devices, no computer needed, make sure to extend the paper tray
I got this printer to replace an older HP laser printer. The main features I was looking for were a compact laser printer with the ability to join a wifi network right from the printer (without the need for a computer). The old HP printer required a computer, and my modern OS no longer would even see the printer when I connected to it via a USB cable, so there was no way for me to change the printer to a new wifi network. Having a printer that doesn’t require a computer has two advantages: First, you can easily setup everything right from the control panel and screen on the printer. Second, in my case I setup the printer for my father who doesn’t have a computer (he only uses an iPad). So this printer allows me to make any necessary changes for him later without having to bring a computer over to his house.Setup was very easy. Remove some blue packing tape, remove the toner/drum cartridge and pull off the strip to unseal the toner, plug the printer into power, and then use the control panel to configure the various settings (including the wifi network). One thing to note is that the paper tray will come set for a short paper length and you won’t be able to fit 8.5x11” sheets in it out of the box. You’ll need to push the blue slide lock on the tray to the side and then extend the back of the paper tray (see my picture). This will then cause the flap on the back of the printer to open at an angle when you insert the tray in order to accommodate the longer tray. It’s kind of a quirky design but it works once you understand it.Another nice feature is that the printer will easily fit on top of a standard letter-size file cabinet. So if you’re short on space you can just sit it on your file cabinet and don’t need a separate printer stand or desk for it.

Slow and completely unreliable.
Bought this to replace a Cannon of similar design. Big mistake. Sometimes it works after some delay, but just as often it fails for no apparent reason. When it does work it usually spits out useless pages for no apparent reason, wasting both toner and paper. BTW, I have been trying to run it on three recent machines, two on Windows 11 and another on Linux Mint, all three connected by cable. This is the last reliable printer I have ever owned. If possible I would have given it no star at all.

Good Printer .. Driver Setup needs some work.
The printer was delivered on Time. I set the printer up and Network Cabled in on my home network supporting 3 Windows PCs and a Mac networked to an older Lexmark 250dn Mono printer. The Supplied CD and software caused me several errors on my Window 10 platform and the Lexmark help desk seemed to make it worse. To the point of way past frustration I was packing it up to return to Amazon and almost printed out the return labels, I wanted to return the printers. The Software seemed to be stuck wanting me to set up SMTP mail servers address and continued to post errors every time I tried to print. 2 calls to Lexmark help got me nowhere. I walked away from it for a day and then ended up removing all of the Lexmark software and used the Printer IP address and went into the Printer Config screen and set up to match my old printer IP address and it works fine using the Lexmark Universal v2 XL driver. Overall the Printer seems to work great.

Good Home Laser Printer
This was my first departure from standard inkjet printers - in close to 20 years, although I've generally been a Lexmark printer owner during that same 20 year period. This laser printer only prints in black and white, but it's quite compact, light and seems to work quite well - although I've printed very few pages on it, so far. The printer output has been sharp and crisp, as you would expect from any larger/office size laser printer. And the price was really comparable to an inkjet printer - although I do wish it had included a scanning capability.

It’s a printer and it works.
I ordered one of these about three years ago and it crashed and burned so I ordered another. I’m an office manager and I do a lot of printing. It’s exactly what I need at a great price point. Easy to install. Only black and white ink and it prints double sided. Pretty basic, but gets the job done.
