My wife and I love Kombucha. We also love having our house temperature around 66 - 68 deg F. This heat wrap was the answer we were looking for so that the Kombucha brewing temps can be in the 70's. I bought one wrap and it worked so well I bought a second one, because we like to have two gallons brewing at once with staggered finish dates. I recommend this product, particularly for winter brewing.

The heating mat works great when wrapped around a one gallon jar and even has a Velcro strap to help secure it. It brings the ambient temperature of the brew up by 10 degrees on average and is both durable and waterproof. It is a bit thin so it does not really work well underneath a one gallon jar so I would recommend putting two wraps laid flat side by side to do it that way or if you are doing a second ferment in bottles just put them on one strap.

I tried making a scoby for my kombucha with out a heating system during the early spring, mind you I like in the Bay Area of California and it get pretty cold sometimes. The result was 4 weeks just to see results. I had throw my first scoby out due to high amount of yeast and little to none bacteria growth. I bought the Heat mat right after and got it with in a few days and went for scoby making test number 2. This time the results of my scoby showed with in a few days and I had made my own scoby in two weeks. The mat kept the temperature constant and the only time I had to turn it off was during one day where the temperature was in the 90s and the jar temp was reaching 88 degrees. Other then that I left it on and it has kept the jar at 79-82 degrees and the scoby grows just fine. It is also nice to know that there is a product keeping my scoby working in the middle of the night without malfunctioning.

Works perfect to bring my two gallon glass jars of Kombucha up to the correct temperature. I place it on the counter then place the two gallon glass containers on it. Bring up the heating pad ends to the side of each glass container and secure the cord and then plug it in. I wrap a flannel blanket around the glass containers to trap the heat in. Do not cover the tops. Works perfectly!

I couldn't be happier with these kombucha warmer - and the 2 pack is a great deal! I have a pretty good set up with gallon jars and these fit around the jars and are held in place with a velcro strip. I've even nestled a third gallon jar in between the two with warmers and they seem to keep it warm as well. My house was too cold to get a decent brew but now I have a veritable kombucha factory. I was on the fence about buying tese warmers but I am so glad I did! Highly recommended!

seemed to get it to hot but I live in az so that could be the problem then I snaked one around 3 jugs still I a little to warm when it gets cooler here will trry again

Works exactly as advertised. Great for keep kombucha brew at around 80-86 degrees consistently, most especially during the brutal winters in the mid-West. It’s a good deal as you’re getting two for the price of one; temp strips included. These have also sped up first fermentation. I’m averaging anywhere from 10-14 days with a not so thick SCOBY. Only gripe I have is the lack of temp control. Other than that, I’m very happy with these product, 5 stars!

I bought the two pack of heating strips to keep my kombucha jars a little warmer during the winter months. I think they work very well for this purpose. This product keeps two 2.5 gallon jars at 76-78 degrees when one strip is wrapped loosely around them both. I live in Florida and it’s not that cold... but I think they would heat a large jar adequately if each jar was wrapped individually. These strips would work well as a seed warmer mat, too. I definitely recommend this product.

This seems to do a good enough job of keeping my kombucha between 22 & 24 degrees C even in a pretty cool basement, but I've had to monitor it closely and insulate my jug with towels. Maybe I should have spent the extra to get a thermostat. The velcro strap that came with it was not long enough to go all around my jug so I've had to use a long piece of string. All that being said, it does a perfectly adequate job for the low price.

Not warm enough & does not stay on the bottle well.
