Delicious!
Delicious!! Mild, with subtle notes of coffee. Firm but not hard beans, excellent texture. NYrture natto is so much better than the frozen kind available in Asian markets near me - better taste and texture and importantly more active, which I'm hoping will help put calcium in bones and teeth, not arteries. Was so excited when the box (well packaged with bumper protectors for the glass and a still partially frozen cold pack to keep the natto refrigerated) arrived late afternoon, I tried it for dinner instead of waiting until breakfast when most people eat natto. Highly recommend. Kudos and thank you to the people at NYrture for figuring out how to successfully deliver such a delicate, quality food product.

Delicious, well packaged, quick, safe delivery
New York Natto is excellent. As a longtime practitioner of macrobiotics I’ve been eating natto for over 40 years. I don’t possess Japanese ancestry, but a Japanese friend of mine has confirmed in her opinion the high quality and taste of this product. You can purchase less expensive styrene-contained natto in the freezer section of many local Asian markets, but this American made variety is of better quality. The black soybean variety is my fave due to its rich flavor. Natto is an acquired taste for most Westerners generally speaking, but the health benefits of the enzymes in natto should carry you over while you warm up and become a lifelong fan. BTW, the immune boosting properties of natto are nothing to sneeze at. No pun intended.

Product is as advertised
As a first-time consumer of Natto, I had reservations about quality and palatability. However, the received product is as advertised and to my taste quite pleasant. Kept my first serving simple: Natto and rice (brown rice). Fine for me. I hope it helps with several health issues I am trying to resolve without medication. I lowered the rating from 5 (which is what I rate the actual product) because of the shipping. Given the perishable nature of the product and its traveling through very hot areas to reach me, I was concerned that it arrived a day late. (The "refrigerated packing" was still cold upon arrival.) The invoice said "expedited" but the time seemed more akin to USPS Priority. USPS Priority provides very good service to/from my area but with "expedited" I became concerned when it was late. FYI--FEDEX was the service. It got here fine--but it was late and Priority speed seems a more accurate description. Nevertheless--so far a very good product.

Delicious
This is the tastiest natto I've ever eaten. Great customer service, speedy delivery. I appreciate it's in a glass jar instead of the styrofoam of the store bought natto. Thank you.

Wide mouth jars - very hard to open
Used to buy this product regularly for years -- bought again recently and now comes in very short and wide jars ... I've never seen jars before in such dimensions ... they are almost impossible for me to open without struggling with a variety of sharp implements to release the seal ... not returns otherwise I would have done so ... will never purchase again

Excellent supplement to healthy diet
It is excellent in combination with recommended traditional ingredients.For me the “value for money” is that it’s a bargain for the nutrition, health value and taste it affords.

good fresh natto
I've been eating NYrture's natto for almost a year now. I got started on natto because I'd been on antibiotics and was looking for a way to get vitamin K2 and some different probiotic bacteria in addition to the usual yogurt and pickled vegetable varieties. I started by buying the frozen kind that comes in styrofoam packets from Japan but switched to Nyrture's as soon as I found them because their natto is not packaged in styrofoam and it isn't frozen (freezing kills most of the bacteria used in the fermentation, which kind of defeats the purpose of eating it for probiotic purposes). I'm a fan of the taste, particularly the black natto, which is a little lighter and fluffier than the brown natto. But I eat both kinds, I tend to mix them in with fresh salsa and avocado chunks, and also soy and fish sauce.

Very good quality.
I really like natto. I eat it every day without missing a day of the week. I began buying the small pockets of imported natto from Japan, but ever since I saw the owner of this Nyrture company on TV I began buying from them. I eat half a jar everyday for the health benefits and with a mug of beer I really enjoy it. Every time I order a different type. Recommended.
