These skewers worked great for beef shish kabobs. They are long and sturdy enough to handle a skewer full of meat and veggies. The flat handle is very helpful and makes it easy to flip them on the grill. The flat blade is easy to load food, the tip is the perfect amount of sharp to piece beef, and your food doesn't twist and fall off while flipping them around.

I have used wooden skewers for years to broil or grill food. Whenever I rotated the skewers, inevitably the food would spin around on the round skewers. Not anymore with these skewers. These flat-sided skewers keep the food in place, and they are sturdy and strong for a lot of food. I was making a double recipe of Chicken Tikki Masala and needed 9 full skewers of chicken. I used my large broiling pan and could rest both ends of the skewer across the long ends of the broiling pan. I rotated the skewers several times as they slowly broiled. It was an excellent experience. Also, the skewers clean very easily by hand or in the dishwasher. I will probably purchase the special racks for use on the grill to give support to the skewers, but I wanted to try them first to see if they would work for me. I will never go back to using wooden skewers. Sadly, I have two large packets left of them and can't figure out what to do with them. I do have an issue with the storage bag which, by the way, is an excellent bonus. The stitching at the bottom of my bag was not sown properly, and the hole allows the skewer tips to poke through. I will contact the company, and I am sure they will make it right. Otherwise, I think the bag is an excellent way to store them. It hangs so that I can conveniently store the skewers in my pantry until the next use.

Excellent product. Sturdy thick steel. They do not bow when in use and are pointed just enough to get food on the skewers. The tab to push food off is a nice touch too. Highly recommend this to anyone interested in kebabs. My only gripe is that they should only be marked with the base. Not as useful without the stand to keep food off the grill surface. I almost felt that I was duped into buying this and then realized I had to fork out more money for the stand - which I found overpriced. Really should have been priced better as a set.

Better design in this, stronger, longer, thicker, at one third the price compared with competition.

Usually don't have time to make my own kabobs so buy them. They are on wood skewers that are too short and burn on the grill because can't soak them in water. Pull wood skewers out while sticking these in and the problem is solved. Bought the racks as well. Skewers stay put so kabobs cook the way you like. I only turn mine twice. The food removal ring is an added plus. Storage case was not included with order. Not sure I will ever receive one. Product worked as advertised. Item arrived on time."

I bought both the skewers and the rack, since both are needed to maximize the benefits. The resulting lamb and veggie kabobs were amazing. The food stays in place instead of spinning as often happens on a round skewer. The racks keep the food off the BBQ grates so it doesn't burn or stick. The skewers can be precisely oriented to cook all sides of the food. Once cooked, the food slides off the skewer using the attached disc. Because food doesn't adhere to the grill, subsequent cleanup was a breeze. I like this system so well that I am going to order more sets to give as gifts to other BBQ aficionados.

I bought the 17inch skewers. They were very sturdy and I was able to load them with veggies, chicken and steak. I liked the fact that I could do quarter turns to cook the food. I did spray the skewers with PAM prior to putting the meat/veggies on them. This help them slide off very easily. It left very little residue on the skewers so it made clean up easy. I like the carry case that they come with. A great buy for the price

Tons of long skewers that are very sturdy, easy to clean, and can be used in a very versatile manner. Very happy with this purchase.
