Review: THE firetruck book - My 3-year old son and I love this entire book series, and this one is his favorite! It is THE book, imo, for any youngster passionate about firetrucks and/or tools. Each book in this series has a character with a special job or talent, and the 'story' is learning about their parts or activities as part of that job, often with additional lessons unique to each (the alphabet for 'I Stink!', counting down from ten for "I'm Dirty!", to mention our other two favs). In this one, you learn all about firefighting and its tools through the "eyes" of a firetruck's response to an emergency call. These books are special because they know their audience so well. They are *made* to be fun to read *out loud*, to allow even the pre-literate young reader to participate in telling the story, to learn a little something new each time, and to provoke a lot of conversation with your young one about what you're reading. The books also have a wonderful sense of humor, with rich and colorful illustrations. Big disclaimer: Though the characters overlap, the book series is quite different from the cartoon series loosely based on them, which we also love. I was frankly a little disappointed at first, expecting the books to be like the cartoon. But once you let that expectation go and learn to enjoy the books for the unique thing they are, you and your little one can just enjoy them. Review: Love this book! - The best firetruck book! THE firetruck book
My 3-year old son and I love this entire book series, and this one is his favorite! It is THE book, imo, for any youngster passionate about firetrucks and/or tools. Great book for kids
Growing up with a volunteer fire department fire chief, I love this book and how it hits the core of what firefighters do. Bought one for my son and will buy another one for my godson that LOVES all things fire trucks!

Fun stories about vehicles
I've bought many of the books in this series for nephews and nieces. Any kid who loves books centered around vehicles (or one about dinos) will love these books! Fun stories and illustrations working together!

A wonderful story! 3 year old loved it!
I bought this as a gift for a fun loving 3 year old boy who loves fire trucks and books. Another great addition to I Stink!

Goes well with the others in the collection that we have like I'm Dirty
I want to give a five star because of the cuteness of this book, but it was frustrating on how long I had to wait to get it. It took weeks to get back in stock, and I actually ended up missing giving the gift on time. Other than that, if it's in stock, this book is so worth the extra money. I actually saw this series featured before seeing a movie, and the authors seemed to really understand what was important to teach young kids. Goes well with the others in the collection that we have like I'm Dirty!, I Stink!, etc. I'll definitely keep buying their book series!

He who this book was purchase for, a 2 1/2 year old, continues to want to read through it multiple times-- nearly every day. That's a solid 5!

2 year old was scared of the fires.
Good book, but my 2 year old was scared of the fires. Maybe save this book for an older kid.
