For the reverse to work use the Aileron / Elevator Stick of your radio control
Awesome product and vendor. At first I was not able to get the reverse to work. I contacted the seller and and they sent me a video. It turns out that you need to connect the ESC to the Aileron / Elevator Stick of your radio control for it to work. I was originally connecting it to the Throttle stick which would only control the speed in one single direction. I bought 4 ESC and all of them work very well. Here is what I'm using: a brushed DC motor type 380 (Jameco Part number 232022), Radiolink AT9s Pro + R9DS, and a OVONIC 3s Lipo Battery 50C 5000mAh 11.1V. I had to buy a cable / connector kit to make cables to connect the ESC to the battery (JST to XT60 connector) and to the motors (JST to JST connector). I hope this review helps someone.

Nice small size allows for custom application.
These are small enough to put in a vehicle 1:24 and smaller. So far I have not had any issues. Very easy hookup. If you uh the Male end of the battery into the female end of this esc you can't go wrong.

Problem Switching Polarity
These ESC's are small and great for small applications. However, they don't quickly switch between forward/reverse. I have to push throttle (aileron) forward 2-3 times before it registers the polarity change of the motor. 130 hobby brushed motors just as a test and honestly don't like what I see. I can't use these for a slow tank crawler. The reliability of the polarity changes is too faulty for my uses. Included image shows it pegged full throttle with no response after a quick change from reverse to forward.Using a Radiolink AT9S Pro with 2S Lipo to 5V BEC to R9DS (pin 3 out) to YoungRC ESC (this ESC) to 130 hobby brushed motor.Edit: Changed to a KingModel Dual ESC and that one works great. Definitely an issue with the YoungRC ESC's and polarity changes. Cannot recommend.

Kind of works as RC winch controller
Product does work, however not great for my application. I used it for a winch controller on my SCX10 ii. It does not seem to run the winch at full speed/power and was a little difficult to get to work with no instructions. Here is what I found:The esc will not take a fully charged 2s lipo battery. Input voltage is no higher than 8v and fully charged 2s is 8.4v. It will blink 1 led quickly if over voltage detected. The esc will blink 2 led quickly if no signal from reciever is detected.Once connected correctly and correct voltage supplied the esc comes on and goes through some kind of calibration procedure. I couldn't figure out the details but i had to go forward and reverse with throttle, left and right with steering, and the run Aux channel both ways. After that and a bunch of flashes from the leds it was working.Like I said, got it to work. But it underperformed and I will be getting a real winch controller as I know they work better than this does and they are less hassle to setup.
