Why do you take Lysine? What does it do for you personally?

Most cold sores/fever blisters are caused by a virus in your system & I USED to get them frequently. I’ve been taking1000mg of Lysine daily for the past 30 years, & as long as I take it DAILY, I simply DO NOT get them!! If I go MORE than 2-3 days WITHOUT Lysine & am out in the sun or get sick, I usually end up getting another one!! When that happens, if I up my dose to around 8000mg/day for 2-3 days at the FIRST sign of a breakout, it STOPS the growth & will HEAL it quickly!! Lysine CHANGED my LIFE!!

what size are the pills?

They are really too large. I have had to take lots of medications, and this size in a capsule is OK for me. But these seem always to get stuck, so have stopped taking them. "Horse pills" is right.

What type of lysine is this (e.g. hydrocholoride). Where is it sourced from? Is it synthetically produced or a whole food supplement?

Hydrochloride this is what I could find on the product:Made in the USA Not manufactured with wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients. Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens. NOW® L-Lysine is a Pharmaceutical Grade essential amino acid. GMP Quality Assured.. I have used Now brand but on the 1000 mg it was not a capsule so last time I purchased a different brand and it does not seem to be helping as much as the NOW brand has. I will be switching back and swalling pills...they are coated just a little big.

定期的に出てたヘルペスが出なくなった

体質的に疲れが酷いとすぐヘルペスが出るので耐え難くてリジンに手を出すことに多少値はするが効果は絶大他のサプリメントと一緒に朝一飲んでいる　リジンは高いので二日に一回、疲労のある日やヘルペスが出る兆候(目のピリつき・リンパの腫れ等)が出たらその日の晩に必ず飲んでいるリジンを買って飲んでからまだ1回も発症していない肉体労働をしている時は少なくてワンシーズンに一回、多い時は月1.2回はあった今は仕事を変えて多少疲労は少なくなってはいるが、それでも疲労でヘルペスは出ていた半信半疑だったがこんなに発症を抑えられるならもっと早く買っておけばよかったちなみに錠剤は1個縦20mm×横10mm×厚み8mmで、表面は通常のサプリメントと違って水分を含むと少しヌメったような感じになるので飲みやすいっちゃ飲みやすい他の錠剤と一緒に飲むなら抵抗が無いが、単体だとデカいぶん喉を通るのに違和感があるデカすぎるんだよなぁ…
