I have a 96 17 1/2 foot v with a 115 mariner and run about 50 mph. will it hold up and if I hit something at low speed is my motor going to fall off?

It (should) hold just fine. Too many variables to give a precise answer. If you need a reliable jack plate this should work fine

Can you hook this up to the tilt and trim already on the boat?

The one we ordered and received came with it’s own wiring harness including its own switch to raise and lower the jack. We installed the new switch in the dash. So you keep the tilt and trim capability for your motor, and can independently raise and lower the jack. The jack has been very helpful to run shallower, but the jack travel for this model is only 7 inches, so I still use the tilt feature some in addition to the jack.

If my boat already has a kick up plate can I add this to that for a jack and kick plate?

I would not think it to be a problem. I believe you should probably mount the jack plate to the transom, the kick up plate to the jack plate, and then the motor to the k.u.p

Will this be to big for my 40hp Yamaha 2 stroke
