Best for medium strips
Nothing fancy but it works. A lot cheaper than the alternatives. It works best for size 5 to 8 strips and ithe hook shank a bit small for the wider strips (which are commonly used in hooking primitive rugs).

I Love This Rug Hook
When I saw it I worried that it was too thin but this hook works faster and more smoothly than my old one. Excellent choice!

Example of Hook Size
I'm a beginner at rug hooking with this type of hook (I had used latch hooks before) it is smaller than I anticipated, so I added some photos to show the hook size. I'll edit my review after I have used it for awhile.

I think mine was defective.
Maybe I just got a bad one but it fell apart. For $10 I would expect it not to.

Good Rug Hook for making mats and rugs.
I needed a hook that was good for my hand as I make rugs and mats that was also a good match with medium yarns and materials. I found this one and it’s perfect!
