Q: did you end up purchasing this house for the american girl? how did it fit?

Yes, we were searching around and could find no doll houses for 18 inch (AG dolls). We were excited when we found this one through Amazon website. We have it at home now and it is the perfect size for my daughter's American Girl dolls.

Q: Is the bathroom big enough to add a bathtub? Also is the patio large enough to add a chair?

The patio is plenty big. My daughter has the pink couch and coffee table on it. However the bathroom would be tight to fit a bathtub. One could probably squeeze in but not much room for anything else. This is actually a really big dollhouse. I was super impressed with the furniture that comes with it - as it's mostly real wood.

Q: Does the house or any of the accessories have electronic festures (doorbell, lights up, etc.)?

No electronics, but my 8 year old loves it! Easy enough to put together.
