Fantastic. Couldn't be happier. First use on a new Weber Genesis II E410 BBQ resulted in the most perfectly cooked medium rare steak I've ever had and I've had quite a few steaks in my time. Very easy to setup and the accompanying app is very straight forward. Connectivity between phone and base unit is excellent with no loss of signal when going indoors to the kitchen. A fantastic addition to any BBQ. Very well made and thought out base unit and app. Buy one now, you won't be disappointed.

It wasn't clear from the description that the App is required to adjust any of the settings. Unfortunately the app is very unstable. It crashed every time more than probe was connected to the unit. Even when restarting the app it would instantly crash the second the app registered the temperature of the probes. This makes the whole thing a very overpriced basic single probe thermometer. All the nice extra features that are mentioned in the product description are unusable due to a terrible app. Edit: It turns out there is a more recent version of the app called BBQ Go. This appears to work without issue. Upped the rating 1 star for now. Will update again once I've had it for longer.

Only thing that could make this better would be if it worked via wi fi so could be tracked when you are out the house.

Very simple to set up and use. Works Great!

Six-probe version. Certainly consider to be worth the money and easy to use. Stick the probes into the various meat and plug the ends of the leads into the display. The leads a long (a metre or so) so the display can stay safely away from the heat. It will alternate to display the temperatures of just the probes that are plugged in. However, the real intelligence of the device is when you pair your phone with the display. All the temperatures are then show at the same time on your phone and you can set individual alarms on each one. These are preset (or you can add your own) for someone's idea of the perfect 'done' temperature for chicken, beef, lamb etc. etc. - just choose the one you want. When the probe has reached the temperature, the phone will beep. Certainly impresses your visitors to the barbecue! Not just useful for the BBQ though - perfectly useful for normal cooker use. The leads from the probes will easily go between the oven door and the cooker as they're thin metal shielded leads. I've not put a probe into boiling water to check the accuracy but I have compared several probes in the same piece of meat and they match up to with a degree or two. I doubt they're all wrong so I suspect they're all pretty much right. Good points: * Six probes so ample for as many meats etc. Remember you might want to some more chicken in and want another probe... * Large, easy to read display. * The coloured parts of the probe are silicon and hence don't burn immediately when you touch them. Bad points: * The probes are not dishwasher proof. Seems like a small thing, but they can be difficult to clean. * The probes are colour coded and the app displays are colour coded but the two don't necessarily pair up. The colours in the app relate to the number sockets on the display so you need to plug the right probe into the right socket to have everything match up. * The connection to the phone works for a surprising long way from the display (and beeps if you go out of range so you know!) It would be better... * If the display also showed the limit set in the app. * If the limits could be set directly on the display without the app. * If the probe colours and the app colours automatically matched up. In summary, a very useful device and a great 'geeky' gadget...
