Horrible read
This book is about a chick who whines about not having a man in her life. Don't let the title fool you. I was so disappointed. I thought she would discuss her travels more but she didn't. She talked about pining over men the entire time! What a letdown!

Not as great as I expected it to be...
It wasn’t the book I thought it was going to be, after every second girl who travels glorified it. I’m still not sure whether I like it or not as it’s definitely a strange one. What I was Doing While You Were Breeding starts with a prologue by an author explaining that she’s not a slut, but enjoys men adventures on her travels – what already left me puzzled. The entire plot is about Kristin going on escapades to have some fun with foreign guys. Sometimes ‘dating’ two or three at once. When she isn’t sharing details about her travels and international boyfriends, she tells the reader about her career as a comedy writer in Hollywood. And while she might be describing everything in a funny way, I kept thinking that it was often too much information for me.

One girls painfully long dating history
I love traveling and reading travel memoirs. This book however was HORRIBLE. I could barely get through it. It was almost exclusively about her hookups and "relationships" with the many different people see encountered in different countries. There were no great scenes about the countries or information on them. If your looking to read about one very self confident girl and her numerous hookups then this is your book.

Mistakingly surprised with how great this is🤩
Love love love this book! 10/10 recommend. It was NOTHING like what I was expecting... in a great way. I ignored pre judgement of reading the back of the book and went strictly off the picture and figured this was just a fun travel book... i was happily mistaken.... this is no basic travel book. It’s a raunchy fun exciting... makes you sub conscious guilt feeling want to be single and travel the world being adventurous and flirty. This is such a good read. It takes me I kid you not YEARS to read books because I hate reading and get SO bored easily with insane ADD... and this book I’ve almost finished reading in 2 weeks which is a HUGE deal for someone like me. All I’m saying is... GET IT. You’ll have zero regrets unless you’re a prude or feel Jesus will condemn you for reading this... then move along. Otherwise this is worth the read. :)

Funny as Hell
This book is hilarious. One of the best reads of all time. I usually read non-fiction and this was just what the doctor ordered. Maybe I should go re-read it because i need a laugh!!! (There are also really sweet parts- it is very well written).

An all around disappointment
I'm a single woman who loves to travel. So many people recommended this book to me and I really wanted to love it. Unfortunately, I hated the author. I loved her travel stories, but I had to get through all of her sexcapades in order to get to that. There were many points that she made that I felt were relatable, however, those points were lessened by her content and they were few and far between. I feel like the message she was trying to convey got lost in her attempt to make the story "juicy." Like I said, I really wanted to enjoy this book, but unfortunately, it was just an all around disappointment.

For the single traveling girl
I would definitely recommend this to any girl who loves traveling, who dreams of distant places and doesn’t want to bow down to society’s expectations of marriage and kids, at least not yet.

Disappointed
Only a few chapters in and not sure I'm going to be able to finish. I didn't realize this book would be more about her screwing her way through the countries as opposed to actually talking about the countries and cultures she experienced. Disappointed

Perfect read for those obsessed with travel and adventure
Great read for those who are obsessed with travel and want a bit of magic in their lives. Inspired me before my travel to Bali and now I’ve planned a sabbatical. Great read, but will ruin all your plans haha. You may quit your job and become a digital nomad.

It's fairly good but I thought it would be more inspiring than it is. It seems like all she did was spend her life running away from her problems waiting for a husband and picket fence and 2.4 kids. I won't spoil the book by writing any more. Some lovely interesting travel stories.

World's okayest book
Didn't love the book. Found it very braggy, when I finished reading it I put it down and I doubt I'll ever pick it up again.

Loved it!
an inspiring and exciting read, authentic and filled with interesting travel stories. I have enjoyed every single chapter and I would definitely recommend it not only to those who like travelling, but equally to those who are still thinking to do it or perhaps it simply is not their passion (yet). :D

Worth a read
Didn't know what to expect going into reading this book. I thought maybe it was a self help guide to being independent and single. But after reading the sample on my kindle, I realized I couldn't have been more wrong. In a good way! This book is above all things honest. Kristin shares openly about her experiences in a way that is real and relatable but she absolutely does not tell you how to live your life. It's exactly what it says on the tin: a memoir. Very refreshing and actually laugh out loud funny! I couldn't stop myself laughing even in very public settings which at times was slightly embarrassing! However, on a more serious note, her adventures make you reconsider your priorities and how you see yourself in relation to your peers. Just in her telling her story, you can't help but do a bit of introspection along the way.
