Not for use in a real situation, faulty equipment is worst than having no equipment at all.
Compass not accurate off due to the extra large air bubble off setting the compass needle,LED light does not work, dead battery and I see no way of replacing the batterythermometer very small, numbers/markings difficult to get a reading +/- 5 °Cnone of the letters/numbers or markings glow, no light and this is uselesswould have been better having just 1 piece of paracord not 2 smaller already cut.Nice idea looks good but practically useless, not fit for it's purpose.I would not trust this item with my life or anyone else's a real situation. In a life or death situation, faulty equipment is worst than having no equipment at all.*16/11/21 I just had a private email from a lady who works for the company, asking:" If you don't mind deleting your review, we can issue you a refund of £15 (£15 Amazon gift card) for the order. And the gift card code will be sent to you within 4-5 working days after deletion."I will copy and paste the same email reply as I have replied to you in the private email you sent me."I'm not interested in £15 to cover up the glaring fact that this piece of equipment does not fit the purpose it was intended for and someone relying on this faulty equipment would be put in more danger than without it. Fix/upgrade the product and I will happily delete my honest review of this poorly designed and faulty item when it fits the intended purpose."

Think I will make my own with better components that work
Did like the look of item ,but as soon as opened the product and whent to try it on the compass fell out so glued that back in .and then two days later the led / sos device stopped working ,so the only thing that seems to work so far is the fire starter even the wrist tightener seems to keep coming lose

Great survival kit, unless you need to know the temperature.
This is great piece of kit. The paracord is made of study stuff and the compass is of good quality. The LED as three settings which is off, on and flashing, it didn't flash an SOS in morse code which I felt was a missing trick. It also comes with a small blade which doubles as a fire starter and a small flint stich which I mistook as the LED button at first. It also comes with a whole which works fine too. The only part I was a little disappointed with was the thermometer which seems to get stuck often between 25 - 30 degrees, even when my hand was in the freezer for 5 mins. Its either that or the temperature around me remains at 28 degrees 24 hours a day. Other than that the kit is great and I feel it is reliable in an survival situation.

Fun addition to a children’s survival kit
These were bought as part of a ‘survival kit’ for my grandchildren aged 6 and 10. They tick all the boxes for this purpose, being full of little surprises , though the card and knife would not be much practical use, even if they were easier to extract. The little compass, SOS light and temperature gauge are great fun and the whole thing is amazingly compact.

Fantastic bracelet with all the essentials
This was a present for our 12 year old daughter. She nearly didn't get it; my husband quite fancied it for himself. Everything you would need in an emergency, great for our adventures on the moors.

Decent Value
The compass points south instead of north, probably due to the air bubble that it came with. Disappointed because compass was the main reason for buying this but it's not unusable.
