(at least it did for me) - As someone who had never taken a Corporate Finance class prior to MBA coursework, I was able to easily understand the concepts I needed to learn. However, I believe the combination of the textbook and the McGraw-Hill Connect online platform is the main reason why I found it easier (although still very challenging and time-consuming). The online supplement made it easier to grasp the concepts. The homework portion was exceptionally helpful - after submitting the work, the connect platform gives you the step-by-step solutions / formulas to help you grasp the concept. Get the textbook and sign up for the online platform and you will have a great experience, in my opinion. Review: Cheaper and in great condition - For my finance class I was supposed to buy the newest edition of this from the book store for $340. As a college student, this is outrageous. When I got to class she told us not to buy the newest copy, but to buy an earlier edition, which lead me to this textbook. It is the same textbook for the most part, just doesn't have recent examples. Not only did I save a bunch of money, I'll be able to use it for future classes to refer back to the information. So worth it! It came in great condition.

The Textbook + McGraw-Hill Connect = A! (at least it did for me)
As someone who had never taken a Corporate Finance class prior to MBA coursework, I was able to easily understand the concepts I needed to learn. However, I believe the combination of the textbook and the McGraw-Hill Connect online platform is the main reason why I found it easier (although still very challenging and time-consuming). The online supplement made it easier to grasp the concepts. Cheaper and in great condition
For my finance class I was supposed to buy the newest edition of this from the book store for $340. As a college student, this is outrageous. When I got to class she told us not to buy the newest copy, but to buy an earlier edition, which lead me to this textbook. It is the same textbook for the most part, just doesn't have recent examples. Not only did I save a bunch of money, I'll be able to use it for future classes to refer back to the information. So worth it! It came in great condition.

DO NOT BUY HARDCOVER
Awful product. I unwrapped from the plastic and when I opened the front cover it came off from the bulk of the papers as seen in the picture. After putting it in my backpack once, I opened it again and the entire bulk of papers was detached from the cover. Basically, the actual pages were never solidly connected to the book. You can obviously still read it, but I do not recommend spending $150 on a hard copy version, it will not be hard copy for long.

The book is a good book. I had issues with the hard copy I got used from Amazon and sent it back for a refund. I bought the smart book directly from the publisher and the book was informative and well used.
