Brett: His Own Story

Great book. He has always been one of my favorite players. It was a good read. He stuck to telling good hockey stories and didn't get too personal. So if you're looking for party stories, check out the Darren McCarty, Theo Fleury or Bob Probert books.I think it was written a little too early. There were not enough stories about his time in Dallas or Detroit. I'd have liked to read more about that time of his life.

I enjoyed parts of this, but it seems like Hull wanted to make sure and not burn any bridges. I would love to have heard him riff on Mike Keenan or any other number of things but alas, this seems like it's the PG rated version of what could be a more interesting book. Still interesting, but not something I'll read again.

Great book. Lots of "behind the scenes"

It was a small book for 23.99, and used from a high school library- not what we expected.- more like a pocket book.

I had always wondered why the guy was perpetually smiling. This read should put a smile on your face as well.

Great history of Brett Hull with good insights to relationships with teammates coaches and family.Does not go into family issues in depth but that's ok since that's OT what the book is about.

Clearly ghost written but a damn good read. Funny to read about a pre-salary cap NHL.

Easy read. Would of liked a bit more non hockey stuff. Also wrote the book too early - many years still left to play when book was written. How did he meet his first wife? Many girlfriends?

As an old timer hockey player ,I loved the game And the locker room story tellingI recommend this book to people of age 50 and over as they will relate and bring back some good old memories

HMMM, , , I'm asked to write my opinion of the book, AND, , I will do so !!!! I'm only a few years older than Brett, so I watched him play quite a bit, , , , AND, I will say this, the book "he" wrote was written "exactly" the way I pictured him to be, , , , "ABSOLUTELY "NOTHING" HUMBLE about this guy !!!! Reading "his" autobiography verified to me that "YES", he is his biggest fan !!!! I do believe that anyone who reads this will think and say exactly what I'm saying, , , , I have a feeling that "anyone" who gets introduced to him will hear from him, , ,, "I "LOVE" ME, , , WHO DO YOU LOVE ??!!
