During the operation Chaplain Capodanno was killed aiding and comforting multiple wounded marines. He was killed on September 4, 1967, and was posthumously awarded the medal of honor for actions that day. This is his story.

Called and Chosen is what I would call a "docudrama", which I generally do not like; but in this case, it's desirable.This true story is about a priest, Father Vincent Capodanno, from New York State, who actually volunteered to be with the fighting front-line troops in Viet Nam.Called and Chosen is not a Catholic story; but rather a story about humanity.Father is not an ordinary person, but a man who continually risks his own life to be with soldiers, as they lay dying on the killing fields of Viet Nam. There is real live footage of the Padre with the troops, which is immensely interesting.Relatives and soldiers who served with Father are also interviewed.I don't want to ruin it for you, so I'll say no more, except that this is a movie well worth watching.

One great man of God
The true and honorable story of a man who entered the ravages of war to save the souls of many United States Marines. He always tried to be with them on the battlefield to medically attend to them or to provide the last rites if necessary. He was truly a magnificent person who definitely performed the work of Our Lord in very dangerous and unpredictable circumstances during the Vietnam war.A great video you will watch again and again. Highly recommended.

Movie for people of the Vietnam War era and anyone scarred by war
This powerful story is one that all who lived through the Vietnam War era with its controversy and trauma need to watch. Our country is still trying to heal from the effects of this unpopular war. Here is a story of a man that saw the soldiers of this war, not the politics. He put the men first even before his own life. Fr. Capodanno is a Medal of Honor award winner and Catholic priest being proposed for sainthood. He is a hero for our times.

Ecellent video
This video was excellent and showed the life of Fr Vincent Cappodanno, a Catholic priest, who served his men during the Vietnam War. Fr Vincent lost his life trying to save the souls of his men.

Our Pastor had spoken about Fr Capodanno in his homily recently and peaked my interest. Even though I had seen this years ago on EWTN, thought it would be good to have.
