Great product. Very satisfied with purchase. Shipping was very quick. Items packaged well, nothing broken. Crackers taste good. Will buy from this company again.

The good news is that the crackers I received were packaged on Aug. 1, 2020 (0213 stamped on the pouches). So, it appears I am getting fresh crackers. Also, I received 51 packs, not 50. Of course, we can't assume that will happen for everyone. These are the same crackers that go into military MREs. So, with proper temperature storage (below 70 degrees F), they could last 6-8 years. I just had a pack of crackers from a 2014 MRE meal and they tasted fine.As the other reviewer noted, the price is high ($48.60 with taxes for me), especially when compared with other products from Long Life Food Depot, the vendor. But let's take a closer look at what we are getting for our money. We need to look at the cost per cracker or per ounce compared with other crackers.There are 100 crackers, two per pack. So the price per cracker for me is .486 cents, .45 cents if you don't have taxes added. The package says the net weight is 1.34 oz. or 38 grams. I weighed the two crackers at 40 grams, or 1.41 oz. So, that is about .7 oz. per cracker. And the price is 69 cents per ounce.By comparison, Sailor Boy Pilot Crackers (38 crackers weighting about 32-33 oz. per package at about $11) works out to about 28.4 cents per cracker or 33 cents per ounce. Each cracker weighs about .86 oz.On the other hand, Mountain House #10 cans of pilot crackers (62 to a can with a net weight of 31 oz. and costing $27) works out to 43.5 cents per cracker or 87 cents an oz.So, these crackers are cheaper than Mountain House (which are difficult to find right now) and more expensive than Sailor Boy. But, in my opinion, these crackers will last longer. Sailor Boy crackers are wrapped in cellophane inside a cardboard box. And they don't come with any packed date or use by date. If long-term storage is your objective, these might be the way to go.

The crackers are standard MRE fare, plain old crackers, good as a side with random meals or jelly. Bought these to provide a starch side with A-Pack meals that had an odd combo of items. Also backs up the veggie HDRs that had spare jelly packs. Good deal, but... not sure why these took a very long time to ship. They kept being in and out of stock, got delayed shipping, and then suddenly they appeared out of nowhere and arrived on time.

I missed these crackers from my military days and brings back memories.

I went to Basic Combat Training in 1986 and retired from the military in 2016. I have had the "opportunity" to eat MREs now and again while deployed or in the field for training. Early rising, hard long days always leant themselves to being hungry well before meal times. I always enjoyed saving the MRE crackers for a snack with whatever they came with. Planning some camping in the mountains this summer and hunting later this fall had me thinking about easy snacks to pack. As soon as the crackers and accompanying cheese combo pack arrived, I opened a cracker and grabbed a pack of Jalapeno cheese pack because I hadn't recalled ever having those. I split the 2 crackers in half and my wife and 2 daughters each had a piece as well. They did not disappoint. Looking forward to having some easily transportable snacks for the woods and emergencies.

These are the real thing. Box of 50 as promised. Manufactured date was just a few months prior to the date I received.Would recommend.Great for long term storage. Or backpacking. Pairs well with boneless skinless sardines in olive oil and Frank's red Hot

Taste terrible. Plain crackers are better but not in stock.I thought these were plain as the AI suggest this substitute.
