Knock Out for George! โฅ
George Foreman does it again! I purchased the George Foreman Electric Quesadilla Maker. It is perfect sized, so easy to clean and ever easier to store! Even though its a large, You can still make small or medium sized Quesadillas with it. It heats up fast and I really enjoy the lock feature on the bottom. I recommend this product! I grabbed it because it was so hot outside that cooking was not going to happen and standing outside in front of the grill was not going to happen either. This was a great option for an actual meal!

Good Value, Performance, and Vertical Stand
Top plastic shell cracked after almost exactly three years, but I still consider that five-stars for the price point and given diminished expectations for quality of modern kitchen appliances. Before it broke, it performed flawlessly, nearly every day, and was easy to clean. The ability to stand vertically when out of use to save counterspace (or in a cabinet) was very practical. If I was not downsizing to an 8" model, I would have bought this again without hesitation.

Good machine
We had one of these years ago, and it lasted for many years before the handle broke. I was excited to see an almost identical model available so I bought it - because of the first picture in the description that I could see, where it had that pad above the handle on top of the machine. That was on our old machine and it helped to be able to put your hand there to open and close the latch. Yes it still got warm but it was tolerable. However, this new model doesn't have that and while it does make it more difficult to open and close the latch, especially to use a potholder, it still works the same way as our old model. I think it cooks well - makes the tortillas crispy and melts the cheese, and it does all the things we need and expect it to do. I do wish that picture with the black pad on the top of the machine was not included because that's very misleading to think it comes with that on there.

Very small pockets
Very easy to use. Plug it in, let it warm up till light goes out, about 5 minutes. This will not cook, but rather heat and melt. Make sure your meats an veggies are pre-cooked if prefer fillings cooked. Works as advertised. This unit is best with the large burrito sized quesedillas. About 10 inches wide. Downfalls include very small pockets, so you will not get a lot of filling inside. Also, the unit slides around very easy when trying to handle the lid. Very dangerous if children or animals anywhere near while using. The cord is too short. I used a heavy gauge 2ft extension. Cord is only 2ft long maybe?? If that. Cleaning is tricky since the lid is top heavy while open. Unit tips and slides around while the lid is up trying to clean or move. Plates are permanant, they are not removeable, so cleaning is an annoying chore. Given the choice, I would not buy again. But it does work as advertized, and the food comes out decent.

Easy to use, simple to clean, convenient to storage.
Pros: - The 10-inch cooking surface is just an ideal size for the quesadillas I buy in Costco. - Edge-sealing rings work pretty well if the quesadilla's edges left without the filling. - The non-stick coating lives up to its name. I just wipe it clean with a kitchen paper towel, and the gadget is ready for storage. - Six pockets make it convenient to cut the portions when its ready. - The cord it's wrapped on the base that's great for storing. - Upright storage - despite its size, this quesadilla maker is quite compact in terms of its storage. - Power indicator light - Red - Preheat indicator light - Green Cons: - The latch is somewhat flimsy. - The cord could be longer. - No on/off switch. Just plug in, plug out. - You cant go wild with the filling For the price I paid for this quesadilla maker through Amazon Warehouse Deals I can't complain at all. Five stars.

Works well
This unit is clearly licensing GF name. I had an identical unit for yrs that did not bear his name. The non-stick works well, but I still use an oil spray. Should be cleaned right after use for ease of cleaning. A damp "sponge" works well. For people complaining about the handle breaking, food not fitting, cooking is messy, I can provide some advice. First, do not force the handle to close, and slightly press down on the top and pull the handle before attempting to open. Food needs to be spread evenly and layers should be thin. If you are adding salsa and cheese add it towards the center, spread it in a circle and make sure the circle is not more than 3 inches in diameter. If you need more salsa (or cheese) you can add it after the quesadilla has been cooked.
