Americolor Powder Food Color, 3gm, Red

Great pigment for macarons! The red mixes well and gives a nice color. In the photo, I combined it with yellow, and the result was perfect

When I first mixed in the color, all I could get is more of a clay color(see picture) and I thought, "Oh great, another red that can't deliver an actual red"... I went ahead and used it anyway and flavor wise I couldn't even taste it in my frosting. Then a few hours later, I had RED! Not just light red, I had a BRIGHT red(pictured). It really didn't take that much to color a bowl of frosting, although you may need a whole container to do a full big batch of frosting. But I think it is so worth it for the red you can achieve without that nasty bitter taste that you get from the gel. 10/10 Will buy again. This is the best red food coloring I have ever used!!! I'm so happy I gave it a try!

I am involved in an online bakery business and have been plagued for several years with sugar cookie icing colors turning "splotchy" after a couple of days. As our products are mailed out, it's never certain that they will look the same as shipped after receipt by the customer. My partner suggested a trial use of powdered food coloring - so I made a few cookies with the red color (the worse offender). After several days they're still pristine!! Altho this product is probably not as economical as the liquid or gel varieties, the results are so worth it.

True red with no bitter after taste

I used the same cookie recipe from the past. They are delicious cookies. This time I added the red powder. The cookies are very red, which is great. But they lost their flavor and after only eating 3 of them my stomach feels a bit strange... I've always loved these cookies so I'm bummed the flavor changed after I used the powder.
