High pigment and easy to use
Already used this to make soap bars and it is very easy to keep adding and intensifying color. It does smell like beets, but since I mostly use for soap making, I simple add essential oils and it easily masks the smell or beets. I donโt personally think itโs unpleasant, but itโs a sharp smell. Love how easily this mixes in the other any liquid. High pigmentation for sure.

Beets the expensive designer brands!!
The Denver Spice Beet Root powder was purchased as an ingredient for natural DIY make up. After reading about all the nasty toxic and carcinogenic ingredients in my super expensive "luxury" make up. I decided to go the natural route by using Beet Root powder and arrowroot starch as the base for blushes and powder foundation. Not only is is a fraction of what my old brand cost, but it's so pretty and knowing that I am using completely natural food grade ingredients as make up and still managing to look great is an added bonus. I also made a really pretty pink color to a butter/cream cheese frosting I made for white velvet cupcakes.

does not mix well .has beet flavor
i found if you mix a teaspoon in hot chocolate it dissolves easily and the chocolate hides the beet flavor. You just get red hot chocolate.

Great to add to DIY natural makeup
Excellent for homemade blush mixed with arrowroot powder. Tricky to dilute fully in a homemade lip balm without leaving particles behind. I need to use an essential oil to cover up the earthy aroma of the beet powder in the lip balm. It's not offensive, I just prefer the smell of cinnamon or mint, for example. The powder provides a lovely, natural coloring. The amount will last a very long time.

Nice, quailty product with good color
Nice, quality product. It seems fresh and has a distinctive beet smell (not a moldy smell). I use it for homemade cosmetics. It has a very nice rich color that lends itself well to a variety of uses. This could also be used to dye items such as fabrics or eggs as well.

Works great to color bath bombs!
I do not use this product as a natural food coloring. I use it to color my bath bombs and it gives the bath bombs a very pretty reddish-pink color.
