Fit - The Large fits my 23" head well. Not too tight, but secure. Feels light on the head, hardly know it's there. The brim size is wide enough for sun and rain protection.Construction - Although very light, the hat is well built with a sweat band and lining inside. Surprisingly stiff pre-formed brim with fabric sewn to a hidden plastic sheet. I doubt the brim can be easily molded or changed. But that's OK since it's a good look already. The crown is stiff and holds it's shape well for such a light fabric. Had a couple of small creases from shipping. A quick shot of steam removed creases and crown went back to original shape. The description claims water resistant and water beads off the fabric, but haven't had it in the rain yet. Nor has it been in the hot sun, but given it's light fabric it should be good.Style - This hat's style and stiff fabric make it quite elegant compared with other safari or adventure hats. It can be worn with either fancy clothes or for a hike. Keep in mind, this isn't a crushable or packable hat. Don't expect to carry it in a back pack or suitcase. Perhaps that's why it looks nicer than a Tilley or other packable design.Overall - Been wearing this hat for two weeks and really like it. Feels good in the Colorado springtime with sunny temparatures just above freezing, up into the 60s. Looking forward to testing this hat in the hot summer sun.

Very nice to add to your wardrobe. Can be dressed up or down; with jeans or a suit. Will not fall apart in the rain. Completes an outfit nicely.

This hat is somewhat large. This is the problem with hat sizes that run in a range (from this to that). However, it is well constructed, protects my head from sun, cold, and rain. Yes, it is water resistant and was tested in the first rain of the season. Grant you, it was not a downpour, just a normal light rain. The water beaded up and did not soak through. I have received many compliments on the hat. In fact, I officiated an outdoor wedding and was told to wear the hat while performing the ceremony. The other day, I was told it was very stylish. It looks great, and serves the required function. The brim is really wide, but this is great if you are looking for protection from the sun. It is not collapsible. You cannot put this in your suitcase. If you don't want to wear it while traveling, use a hat box or buy a Tilley Expendable. Four starts due to the size range making the fit a case of less than perfect.

My new Baileys hat just arrived and I same extremely pleased with it. I was looking for something along the lines of a fedora but not heavy felt or wool but lighter for warm weather wear. This hat is perfect. It is of heavy cloth with a wide, stiff, nearly three inch brim. It has air holes to breath and will shade my head nicely in sunny weather but since it is also waterproof it can be worn on rainy days if I choose.The fit is fine. I am a 7 3/8 so this large is a great fit. The color was slightly darker that I expected but I expect it will gradually fade a bit to a perfect khaki. All in all a great buy and just what I was looking for.

The hat seems very well made and it’s great looking.Had to buy it a little oversized but, thanks to a foam hat sizing kit, it now fits perfectly and is very comfortable.Wish it had a chin strap so I could wear it on my scooter.

Every stitch in this hat is right on. I was surprised by the quality. Color is just as pictured. I haven’t tried it in the rain yet, but I wouldn’t wash it. Maybe spot cleanable. Great texture; looks like a more expensive hat. Really good quality. The medium seemed to be at more of a 7 1/4 instead of 7 1/8. It was very loose on my small head, but some hat adjustment tape did the trick.

I wear these hats for camping and hiking, and also just traveling generally in desert areas they're handy, with the wind, UV etc.Bailey I have found to be a good solid supplier that delivers good quality. This hat has a polyester blend fabric that is tougher than cotton, and the hat also has a sturdy construction, reasonably water repellant and opaque enough to block intense sun.The hat has the sort of satiny "liner" that sports hats sometimes have, a nice feature.People should realize these hats routinely are a bit large; people have forever just rolled up a bit of paper towel or fabric ( they make foam strips) and placed them inside the sweatband on each side;it's easy to acheive an excellent sit and years later the strips are still there with no problem.Very decent Camping hat.

We love this hat! I purchased this hat for my husband. He recently began wearing hearing aids, and was concerned about getting them wet when it rained. He wanted a dressy, water resistant hat, that he could wear at work. This hat is perfect! I used his hat size from other hats he has to order this one, and the sizing was perfect. I got a medium for him, thinking about ordering a small for myself! Nice structure, quality material, shipped in a sturdy box with a hat insert to ensure it kept its shape. Highly recommend!
