Works great!
This phone worked right out of the box, one to a Samsung A32 via audio port, and also to a Samung A35 with included adapter via the USB C port. The adapter didn't work cross platform to iPhone via USB C but I bought a couple cheap ones and now it will work on both! Great phone! Fair price! The weight feels good like the older phone type that it is simulating. The sound worked well, and the cup shaped receiver over your ear helps a lot when using a cell phone, and no hitting buttons accidentally with my face. We'll see how long it lasts, but at this point I may buy another one for my Dad. Great device for the price!

Practically identical to an old desk phone’s handset
I wanted this to use with my iPhone 5c. It is a lot easier to hold and the sound from the speaker is so much better than the phone’s. My first “test call” was great on both ends. The person I called said that she could understand and hear me as well or better than the phone alone. I could hear her better than with the phone alone. I have an old Western Electric rotary desk phone. The Opis handset is practically identical in color (black), size, shape and weight to my phone’s. I like antiques and wanted to somehow use my old phone. I put the Opis handset on my rotary’s base, and at first glance it looks like the old one. It is neat to have the feeling of using the type of phone I grew up using. The only downside is the wire. It’s not as thick or maybe as strong as the old Western Electric handset’s. That is practically the only giveaway that it isn’t the phone’s original. Anyone that wants to do what I’ve done, this is the handset to buy. Old phones were so much easier to hold and use. This Opis almost brings back those old times. Update: As of 19Dec’20, this handset has been great. I’ve gotten used to picking up the handset first when the phone rings, and to make a call. My iPhone seems more like a caller ID device now. I never text or use social media so my phone stays at home. This is as close as possible to what I remember 1970s home phones to be. I honestly wish it was possible to use the rotary dial again. With my ringtone set to “classic, old phone”, it is almost like the desk phone would be. I ran the Opis’ cord under the phone base through some zip ties to give the appearance of it being connected. Then back out to my iPhone 5c. Now, if I move away from my chair while talking, I need to pick up the old phone and (5c will hang on the cord, It connects good and doesn’t fall off) I enjoy the nostalgic experience of that.

Looks great; sound quality terrible!
Nice heft and appearance but the sound quality is complete junk! Even with my volume turned all the way up, this phone is soft and tinny. When I spoke on it, the person at the other end of the ge call said I sounded muffled. Super bummed because I love the way it looks and I would love it to work but it's just junk so it won't do what it promises.

You get what you pay for
You really do get what you pay for. I had bought a wireless Bluetooth version of the one on the right in the pics a while back.. of course mom never used it since it was BT which defeated the "easy" purpose for her. I finally found a wired version about the same quality (maybe even the exact same shell since this cheap one has the same light on it, but they wired it, so it's useless on this one), and for roughly 10-12 bucks - cheap. It worked, but it amazed me how so many things can be so super cheaply or poorly made.. and what really made me write this review and triggered some "OCD" is, how do you cheap out on a short 1/8 inch wire connection, or worse, mess up the orientation of the ear piece and mouthpiece?? The old phones had the smaller concave earpiece with a few holes. I didn't realize how uncomfortable it gets after a while having it protrude with multiple holes as is on the cheap one (not this one). This is very poor quality control. It's a very basic design that's been around since forever, and it bugged me to no end that the design on the cheap one is reversed, as seen in the pics. HOWEVER - this 60s Micro retro one (on the left in the pics for this listing) - is WAY better in quality and design all around - the build is solid, it's got that classic glossy look, they got the orientation right, and the wire is not only much longer, but doesn't crackle from terrible connectors or cheap wiring, nor does it cause cellular INTERFERENCE NOISE and echoes like the cheap one did. In fact, when mom plugged it in, her voice was actually louder and clearer than using the mobile phone by itself (maybe that's unusual, but true in this case). It's a bit heavier, but sturdy always wins, IMO. I do miss the buttons to end or answer a call (which I did like about the cheap one, but even with that, it did some strange things on the phone when pressed), but I can live without it since the phone is within reach anyway and your call ends when the other person hangs up, too. Overall, a great product so far. Kudos.

Love it
My wife is walking around the house twirling the cord like she did when she was a teenager and calling people on facetime, which is cracking them up. It's awesome.

Would buy again
I get clear sound and the 3 different people whom I’ve spoken with state they can hear me clearly. The black color that we choose is stunning and high polished, reminiscent of our childhood home phone. The weight is also spot on, the heft is perfect. It was a breeze connecting the headset to our iPhone 15 Pro. since there are no batteries we couldn’t be happier with the product for the price we paid. I can see the headset being used on a regular basis. The thing that has impressed me the most about this purchase is “Frank” from customer service who reached out and inquired about our experience with the headset. He advised that the company wanted to ensure we were not having any issues with the headset and if we were getting them resolved as soon as possible. Now you don’t see that much nowadays. I would buy again simply because they stand 10 toes down for their products.

A clever idea
Such a brilliant idea! Anyone of a certain age will appreciate using this retro-cool handset which plugs into the mobile's charging port. It makes talking on a cell phone a much more enjoyable experience, as the handset is so much nicer to hold than a little rectangular slab. It allows you to keep the phone (and all the radiation it emits) away from your head. And it also means you don't have to use the speaker phone -- not only you, but probably anyone else in the room, too, will appreciate you being able to have a private conversation. This is an authentic handset (not one of those silly pretend, cheap plastic things), with the proper weight, look and feel of the real thing, and it comes in an array of great colors. I myself have one each in bright blue, white, and green, and they all look sensational. NOTE: This version works with Android phones, but there is a version of the handset for iPhones as well. I needed to purchase a separate Lightning to Headphone Jack adapter for my iPhone 14 (it was easy to find here). It's a terrific product, so why only three stars? Well, unfortunately, one of my handsets stopped working after about a year -- no sound coming in the earpiece or out of the mouthpiece. It just simply quit. But my other two handsets still work perfectly, and it's been a few years now. So I probably just got a dud, and hopefully that is highly unusual. And to be fair to the seller, I didn't get let them know about the issue, and give them the opportunity to replace the handset.
