Robust and keen
Very nice knife, yes it is not full tang it is a rat tail tang. I've used the rootsaw to saw antlers off of a 13 point buck no problem, I wish there were more options for the handle like micarta as I do not like the hard plastic handles.

Awesome Knife
This has made a great addition to my collection of hunting/survival knifes. it arrived in less then the shipping guidelines in great shape. Sharp enough to shave with out of the box.

Disappointed but not dissuaded.
The knife that showed up had a green handle and was not even a close approximation of sharp. The grind of the blade was lopsided leaving far more material on one side of the blade. The finish was fine, but the fit was poor. I am going to order another in hopes that it was an off product (I have seen a beautiful example of this knife before). I will update in another review once I get the replacement.

Dull
I didn't expect a 100 dollar knife to be dull. It was. Butter knife dull. It seems sturdy enough but I don't know yet how well it takes an edge.
