Why does my wool duvet have a sheepy scent?

The classic wool duvet is entirely natural. It is constructed using natural materials, including 100% traceable British wool. All our wool is double-scoured. However, there can sometimes be a slight sheepy scent upon initial opening.

How do I get rid of that scent?

This will subside within a few hours of opening up your packaging - airing the product before use will speed up this process.

Can I wash the classic duvet?

Wool is self-cleaning and therefore does not require frequent washing. If you do want to freshen up your duvet, you can air it outside to encourage air circulation. Dry clean only.

Are British wool duvets better than feather, duck and down?

We believe wool is nature’s miracle fibre. Studies show it regulates temperature & moisture better than feather/down, leading to more stable, consistent & comfortable sleep throughout the night; not just warmth, but a truly life-changing difference.
