Are the 2 batteries joined together? Thanks

You need to connect both batteries to the 2 connectors in the alarm sounder box. I was confused by this too but checked with my installer who confirmed you need to coo ecg both batteries.

Panel not lighting up now after fitting the new battery’s in siren box

Was it lighting up before you replaced ? have you checked the cable connections. Process as per manual should be to ensure system not armed, (or it will sound the alarm siren) unscrew retaining bolt on siren case, remove case, disconnect old battery , connect new, replace case, do up retaining bolt. Job is complete, low battery warning message will disappear.

Do you just clip new battery in

The Visonic Powermax Battery 2 Pack comes as a KIT For MCS-740 Siren, so you get 2 Batteries and a cable so you can just clip in, I have noticed that FANSO have also improved the life of this battery, This is the FANSO brand that I would recommend it also now has a higher capacity (higher Ah) battery, Using a battery with a higher Ah will improve the device's running time on a single charge offering longer life so means you will have to change less frequently and is recommended by Visonic.

Any idea on the replacement process? Manual says just open the bell box but that will trigger the siren surely? Thats a lot of decibels to the face

The manual is quite correct. Ensure system not armed, (or it will sound the alarm siren) unscrew retaining bolt on siren case, remove case, disconnect old battery , connect new, replace case, do up retaining bolt. Job is complete, low battery warning message will disappear.
